London: Sixteen Men Sentenced Over Violent Street Brawl in Halifax

لندن (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — محمد نصیر راجہ | 19 دسمبر 2025ء):برطانیہ کے شہر ہیلی فیکس میں ہونے والے ایک انتہائی پرتشدد اسٹریٹ جھگڑے کے کیس میں عدالت نے 16 افراد کو مختلف سزائیں سنا دی ہیں۔ یہ سزائیں بریڈفورڈ کراؤن کورٹ میں منگل کے روز سنائی گئیں۔

تفصیلات کے مطابق 5 فروری کو ویسٹ یارکشائر پولیس کو مائل کراس روڈ پر اطلاع ملی تھی کہ متعدد افراد سڑک پر ایک دوسرے سے لڑ رہے ہیں اور ان کے ہاتھوں میں بیس بال بیٹ، لکڑی کے تختے اور خنجر (مشیٹ) موجود ہیں۔ اس پرتشدد جھگڑے میں دو افراد کو ایسی شدید چوٹیں آئیں جو زندگی بھر کے لیے اثر انداز ہو سکتی ہیں۔ بعد ازاں 11 مارچ کو اسی واقعے سے جڑے ایک اور واقعے میں ایک شخص پر کلہاڑی سے حملہ کیا گیا۔

پولیس کی جاری تحقیقات کے دوران 35 سے زائد افراد کو گرفتار کیا گیا، جبکہ 16 افراد کو سزا سنائی گئی۔ عدالت کی جانب سے سنائی جانے والی سزاؤں کے مطابق ازائر محمود کو 17 ماہ قید، صہیب زیب کو 20 ماہ قید، فدا حسین کو 18 ماہ قید، احمد زیب کو 19 ماہ قید، حسام علی کو 18 ماہ قید، جبکہ ارباز علی کو 33 ماہ قید کے ساتھ 17 ماہ کے لیے ڈرائیونگ سے نااہل قرار دیا گیا۔

اسی طرح چوہدری ذیشان کو 15 ماہ، محمد حزار کو 30 ماہ، سعد محمود کو 18 ماہ اور شاہد عبداللہ کو 15 ماہ قید کی سزا سنائی گئی۔ بعض ملزمان جن میں اسامہ عثمان، اویس مطلوب، سمرن علی، ابو حذیفہ خلیجی، محمد خلیجی اور ابراہیم خلیجی شامل ہیں، کو معطل سزائیں دی گئیں اور مختلف شرائط عائد کی گئیں، جن میں بغیر معاوضہ سماجی خدمت اور ڈرائیونگ پر پابندی شامل ہے۔

عدالت نے واضح کیا کہ شاہد عبداللہ اور ابراہیم خلیجی کو دی جانے والی سزائیں 11 مارچ کے دوسرے واقعے سے متعلق تھیں، جو ابتدائی جھگڑے سے منسلک تھا۔ ایک ملزم نوحاز افضل کو عدالت نے شواہد ناکافی ہونے پر بری کر دیا۔

London (Pothwar.com — Mohammad Naseer Raja | 19 December 2025): Sixteen men have been sentenced for their involvement in a violent street brawl in Halifax.

West Yorkshire Police were called to Mile Cross Road to reports of people fighting in the street with a baseball bats, planks of wood and a machete on 5 February.

Two men suffered life-changing injuries in the fight and a further linked incident on 11 March saw a man attacked with an axe.

More than 35 people have been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation and 16 men were sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on Tuesday for their involvement.

On Tuesday, the following sentences were given:

Uzair Mahmood, 25, of Rhondda Place, Halifax, was sentenced to 17 months in prison for violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon

Sohrab Zeb, 19, of Westbury Place, Halifax, was sentenced to 20 months in prison for violent disorder, possession of offensive weapon in a public place and assault causing actual bodily harm

Fida Hussain, 55, of Thomas Street, Halifax, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for violent disorder, possession of offensive weapon in a public place and assault causing actual bodily harm

Ahmed Zeb, 41, of Westbury Place, Halifax, was sentenced to 19 months in prison for violent disorder, possession of offensive weapon in a public place and assault causing actual bodily harm

Husam Ali, 35, of Rhondda Place, Halifax, was sentenced to 18 months in prison for violent disorder

Arbaaz Ali, 27, of Hyde Park, Halifax, was sentenced to 33 months in prison for violent disorder and disqualified from driving for 17 months

Chaudry Zeshan, 26, of Mayfield Terrace, Halifax, was sentenced to 15 months in prison for conspiracy to commit violent disorder

Mohammed Hizar, 22, of Pear Street, Halifax, was sentenced to 30 months in prison for violent disorder, possession of offensive weapon in a public place and assault causing actual bodily harm

Saad Mahmood, 27, of Rhondda Place, Halifax was sentenced to 18 months in prison for violent disorder and possession of offensive weapon

Usama Usman, 28, of Rhondda Place, Halifax, was sentenced to 22 months, suspended for two years for violent disorder and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon

Awais Matloob, 45, of Ashbourne Grove, Halifax, was sentenced to 21 months, suspended for two years for violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon and ordered to complete 50 hours of unpaid work

Samran Ali, 27, of Eldroth Road, Halifax, was sentenced to 21 months, suspended for two years for violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon

Abuhazaifah Khalji, 23, of Rhondda Place, Halifax, was sentenced to 24 months, suspended for two years for violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon and disqualified from driving for six months

Mohammed Khalji, 48, of Pear Street, Halifax, was sentenced to 24 months, suspended for two years for conspiracy to commit violent disorder

Ibrahim Khalji, 25, of Pear Street, Halifax, was sentenced to 24 months, suspended for two years, for conspiracy to commit violent disorder, Section 20 assault and possession of offensive weapon

Shahid Abdullah, 25, of Haugh Shaw Road, Halifax was sentenced to 15 months in prison for possession of an offensive weapon and Section 20 assault.

The sentences handed to Shahid Abdullah and Ibrahim Khalji related to charges brought as part of the second incident, which happened on 11 March linked to the initial disorder on Mile Cross Road.

Nohaze Afzal, 41, of Gibbet Street, who was previously charged with violent disorder and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, was found not guilty.

Following the sentencings, Det Ch Inspector Allan Raw said: “This level of violence, use of weapons to cause harm to people and damage to property has devastating consequences, and we remain committed to taking firm action against such behaviour.”
