Rawat: Motorcycle Assailants Open Fire on Police in Baga Sheikhan, Wanted Criminal Taimoor Killed, Accomplice Escapes

روات(پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — اکرم الحق قریشی | 26 اکتوبر 2025ء)رات گئے روات کے علاقہ بگا شیخاں میں موٹر سائیکل سوار ملزمان نے پولیس پارٹی پر اندھا دھند فائرنگ کر دی۔ فائرنگ کے دوران قتل کے مقدمہ میں مطلوب اشتہاری ملزم تیمور موقع پر ہلاک ہو گیا، جبکہ اس کا ساتھی فائرنگ کرتے ہوئے فرار ہونے میں کامیاب ہو گیا۔

پولیس کے مطابق ہلاک ملزم تیمور قتل، اقدامِ قتل، ناجائز اسلحہ اور دیگر سنگین مقدمات میں ریکارڈ یافتہ اور اشتہاری تھا۔ فائرنگ کے دوران پولیس کی سرکاری گاڑی اور کانسٹیبل احتشام کو بھی گولی لگی، تاہم وہ بلٹ پروف جیکٹ کی وجہ سے محفوظ رہا۔

پولیس پارٹی علاقے میں موجود تھی اور مشکوک موٹر سائیکل سواروں کو رکنے کا اشارہ کیا گیا تو انہوں نے پولیس پر فائرنگ شروع کر دی۔ واقعے کی اطلاع ملتے ہی سینئر پولیس افسران موقع پر پہنچ گئے، جب کہ فرار ملزمان کی گرفتاری کے لیے علاقے میں سرچ آپریشن جاری ہے۔

سی پی او سید خالد ہمدانی نے ملزمان کی فائرنگ کے باوجود بہادری سے فرائض انجام دینے پر ایس پی صدر، اے ایس پی صدر اور روات پولیس ٹیم کو شاباش دی۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ شہریوں کے جان و مال اور پولیس پر حملہ کرنے والے قانون کی گرفت سے نہیں بچ سکتے۔

During the exchange of fire, a wanted criminal, Taimoor, who was involved in a murder case, was killed, while his accomplice managed to escape.

According to police sources, the deceased suspect, Taimoor had a criminal record and was wanted in several cases, including murder, attempted murder, and illegal possession of weapons. During the crossfire, a police vehicle and Constable Ehtesham were struck by bullets, but he remained unharmed due to his bulletproof jacket.

Police reported that the team had signalled the motorcyclists to stop when they suddenly opened fire. Senior police officers reached the scene immediately after the incident, and a search operation is ongoing to apprehend the fleeing suspect.

CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani praised SP Sadar, ASP Sadar, and the Rawat police team for their bravery despite coming under fire. He stated that those who attack police or endanger citizens’ lives will not escape the law.
