Kallar Syedan: Choa Khalsa Overlooked in Sewerage Planning by Punjab Highways Department

چوآ خالصہ (چوہدری اُلفت، ویڈیو رپورٹر پوٹھوارڈاٹ کام، 01 اکتوبر 2025) — چوآ خالصہ کے مکینوں نے پنجاب ہائی ویز ڈیپارٹمنٹ کی مجرمانہ غفلت پر شدید تشویش کا اظہار کیا ہے۔ مقامی افراد کے مطابق علاقے کے مشرقی اور مغربی حصے، بالخصوص موہڑہ لنگڑیال اور چوآ خالصہ کازوے کی سمت، نکاسی آب کے نظام سے مکمل طور پر محروم ہیں۔

نالیوں کی عدم موجودگی کے باعث گندا پانی جمع ہو کر مختلف مقامات پر تالاب کی شکل اختیار کر چکا ہے۔ یہ آلودہ پانی نہ صرف شدید بدبو کا باعث بن رہا ہے بلکہ انسانی صحت کے لیے بھی سنگین خطرہ ہے۔ ماہرین اور شہریوں نے خدشہ ظاہر کیا ہے کہ اگر فوری اقدامات نہ کیے گئے تو یہ صورتحال متعدد موذی اور متعدی امراض کے پھیلاؤ کا سبب بن سکتی ہے۔

علاقہ مکینوں نے متعلقہ ٹھیکیدار، محکمہ شاہرات پنجاب اور اسسٹنٹ کمشنر تحصیل کلر سیداں سے فوری نوٹس لینے کا مطالبہ کیا ہے تاکہ بروقت نکاسی آب کے نظام کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے اور عوام کو ممکنہ وبائی امراض سے محفوظ رکھا جا سکے۔

Choa Khalsa (Chaudhry Ulfat, Video Reporter Pothwar.com, 01 October 2025): Residents of Choa Khalsa have expressed grave concern over the negligence of the Punjab Highways Department in addressing the town’s sewerage system. According to locals, both the eastern and western sides of the area — particularly towards Mohra Langrial and the Choa Khalsa causeway — have been completely ignored in terms of proper drainage infrastructure.

Due to the absence of sewerage channels, dirty water has accumulated, creating stagnant ponds in different parts of the locality. These pools of contaminated water are not only a source of foul odor but also pose a serious health hazard. Experts and residents fear that if immediate action is not taken, these conditions could soon lead to the spread of multiple waterborne and infectious diseases.

Citizens have called upon the concerned contractor, the Punjab Highways Department, and the Assistant Commissioner of Kallar Syedan Tehsil to take urgent notice of the situation. They have urged the authorities to implement a proper drainage system without delay to protect the population from potential health crises.
