Gujar Khan: Over 150 People Suffer Food Poisoning After Wedding Feast in Dhoong Near Daultala

گوجرخان (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام – 16 اپریل 2025): دولتالہ کے نواحی گاؤں ڈھونگ میں ولیمہ کی تقریب کے بعد مبینہ طور پر فوڈ پوائزننگ کے ایک افسوسناک واقعے میں ڈیڑھ سو سے زائد افراد متاثر ہو گئے۔

مقامی ذرائع کے مطابق، اتوار کی شام ہونے والی تقریب کے بعد متعدد شرکاء کو قے، پیٹ میں مروڑ اور اسہال جیسی علامات ظاہر ہونے لگیں۔ صورتحال اس قدر سنگین ہو گئی کہ درجنوں افراد کو فوری طور پر طبی امداد کی ضرورت پڑی۔

محکمہ صحت کے حکام نے تصدیق کی ہے کہ 150 سے زائد افراد اس واقعے سے متاثر ہوئے ہیں۔ ایمرجنسی رسپانس ٹیمیں، جن میں تحصیل ہیڈکوارٹر (ٹی ایچ کیو) ہسپتال گوجرخان کا طبی عملہ شامل تھا، فوری طور پر متحرک کر دیا گیا۔ ٹی ایچ کیو ہسپتال کے میڈیکل سپرنٹنڈنٹ ڈاکٹر سرمد حسن کیانی کی درخواست پر، مصطفوی ویلفیئر ٹرسٹ نے فوری طور پر ایک ایمبولینس ڈھونگ روانہ کی تاکہ مریضوں کی منتقلی میں مدد دی جا سکے۔

اس کے علاوہ، ٹی ایچ کیو گوجرخان سے دو سینئر ڈاکٹرز کو بھی موقع پر بھیجا گیا تاکہ فوری طبی امداد فراہم کی جا سکے اور امدادی کارروائیوں کو مؤثر طریقے سے انجام دیا جا سکے۔

مقامی انتظامیہ نے واقعے کی تحقیقات کا آغاز کر دیا ہے تاکہ فوڈ پوائزننگ کی اصل وجہ معلوم کی جا سکے۔ ولیمے میں پیش کیے گئے کھانے کے نمونے تجزیے کے لیے لیبارٹری بھجوا دیے گئے ہیں۔

علاقہ مکینوں نے بڑے عوامی اجتماعات میں پیش کیے جانے والے کھانے کے معیار پر تشویش کا اظہار کیا ہے اور متعلقہ حکام سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ ایسے واقعات کی روک تھام کے لیے سخت چیکنگ اور قواعد و ضوابط نافذ کیے جائیں۔

زیادہ تر مریضوں کی حالت اب خطرے سے باہر بتائی جا رہی ہے، تاہم محکمہ صحت صورتحال پر گہری نظر رکھے ہوئے ہے۔

Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com  – April 16, 2025): A tragic case of suspected food poisoning has affected over 150 people in the village of Dhoong, a suburban area near Daultala, following a wedding feast (walima) held on Sunday evening.

According to local sources, shortly after the event, a large number of attendees began experiencing symptoms of food poisoning, including vomiting, stomach cramps, and diarrhea. The situation quickly escalated as dozens of individuals required urgent medical attention.

Health officials confirmed that more than 150 individuals were affected. Emergency response teams, including medical personnel from Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Gujar Khan, were immediately mobilized. At the request of Dr. Sarmad Hassan Kayani, the medical superintendent of THQ Hospital, the Mustafavi Welfare Trust dispatched an ambulance to the affected area in Dhoong to assist in transporting patients.

Additionally, two senior doctors were sent from THQ Gujar Khan to provide on-site medical care and coordinate the response effort.

Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the food poisoning. Samples of the food served at the wedding have been collected for laboratory testing.

Residents expressed concern over the quality of food often served at large public gatherings and called for stricter checks and regulations to prevent such incidents in the future.

The condition of most patients is reported to be stable, but health officials are continuing to monitor the situation closely.
