London; Pakistan Day celebrated at Pakistan House in London

لندن (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام، 5 اپریل 2025) – پاکستان کے ہائی کمشنر ڈاکٹر محمد فیصل اور ان کی اہلیہ ڈاکٹر سارہ نعیم نے لندن میں واقع پاکستان ہاؤس میں پاکستان کے یومِ قومی کی پروقار استقبالیہ تقریب کا انعقاد کیا۔

برطانوی وزیرِاعظم کے پاکستان کے لیے تجارتی نمائندہ محمد یاسین ایم پی نے مہمانِ خصوصی کی حیثیت سے شرکت کی، جبکہ وفاقی وزیر برائے ریاستی و سرحدی امور انجینئر امیر مقام تقریب کے خصوصی مہمان تھے۔

دیگر معزز مہمانوں میں کامن ویلتھ کی سیکرٹری جنرل شرلی آیورکور بوچوے اور انٹرنیشنل میری ٹائم آرگنائزیشن کے سیکرٹری جنرل آرسینیو ڈومینگز بھی شامل تھے۔

اس موقع پر برطانوی پارلیمنٹ کے ارکان، سفارتکار، سول و عسکری حکام، میئرز، کونسلرز، پاکستانی کمیونٹی کے نمایاں افراد اور پاکستان کے برطانوی دوستوں سمیت 400 سے زائد افراد نے شرکت کی۔ نمایاں شرکاء میں قاضی عبد العزیز چشتی ایم بی ای (گوجر خان)، خضر راجہ (کلر سیداں)، محمد نصیر راجہ (کلر سیداں) اور اسلم خان (گوجر خان) شامل تھے۔

ہائی کمشنر ڈاکٹر محمد فیصل نے پاکستان کے قیام کی جدوجہد میں حصہ لینے والے اکابرین کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ بانیانِ پاکستان کا عظیم وژن ایک ایسے وطن کا خواب تھا جو لاکھوں افراد کی امنگوں کا ترجمان ہو۔

انہوں نے برطانیہ میں مقیم پاکستانیوں کی نمایاں کامیابیوں کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ وہ سیاست، صحت، فنون، سائنس، تجارت اور تعلیم جیسے شعبوں میں گراں قدر خدمات انجام دے رہے ہیں۔تقریب میں پاکستان کے معروف شاعر مرحوم ناصر کاظمی کے بیٹے بصیر کاظمی کو بعد از وفات نشانِ امتیاز پیش کیا گیا۔

تقریب کی رونق کو مزید بڑھانے کے لیے مشہور برٹش پاکستانی اسٹائلسٹ عدنان انصاری کے زیرِ نگرانی “تھریڈز آف ہیریٹیج: پاکستان کی لازوال خوبصورتی” کے عنوان سے ایک فیشن شو کا انعقاد کیا آخر میں کیک کاٹنے کی تقریب منعقد ہوئی اور مہمانوں کی روایتی پاکستانی کھانوں سے تواضع کی گئی۔گیا۔

London (Pothwar.com, April 05, 2025) –Pakistan’s High Commissioner Dr. Mohammad Faisal and his wife Dr. Sarah Naeem hosted the National Day Reception of Pakistan at Pakistan House, London.

Muhammad Yasin MP, the British Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy for Pakistan, represented the United Kingdom government as the chief guest at the ceremony.

Engr. Amir Maqam, the Federal Minister for States & Frontier Regions, attended the event as a Special Guest.

Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, the Secretary-General of the Commonwealth and Arsenio Dominguez, the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation, also attended the Pakistan Day event.

Besides other dignitaries, the members of the UK Parliament, diplomats, Senior Civil and Military Representatives; Mayors; Councillors; eminent members of the Pakistani community; and British friends of Pakistan were among the 400-plus guests including Qazi Abdul Aziz Chishti MBE from Gujar Khan, Khizar Raja from Kallar Syedan, Mohammad naseer Raja, Kallar Syedan and Aslam Khan of gujar Khan.

While paying glowing tributes to the elders who led the struggle for Pakistan, the High Commissioner Dr Mohammad Faisal expressed his admiration for the Founding Fathers’ remarkable vision for a homeland that encapsulated the collective aspirations of millions, laying the groundwork for the birth of our beloved Pakistan.

The High Commissioner also acknowledged the exceptional accomplishments and significant contributions of the Pakistani diaspora in the United Kingdom, stating that they stood out for their remarkable achievements in various fields, including politics, healthcare, arts, sciences, business, and education.

The High Commissioner presented Nishan-i-Imtiaz posthumously to Basir Kazmi, the son of Pakistan’s legendary poet, the late Nasir Kazmi.

Choreographed by renowned British Pakistani stylist Mr Adnan Ansari, the fashion show themed “Threads of Heritage: Pakistan’s Timeless Elegance”, adorned the celebrations of ‘Pakistan Day’. On the occasion, a cake-cutting ceremony was held. The guests were served with sumptuous traditional Pakistani cuisine.
