گوجر خان (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام، 12 اگست 2023) — تھانہ جاتلی کے نواحی علاقے کنیال بجرانہ میں پسند کی شادی کرنے پر نوجوان لڑکی کو فائرنگ کرکے موت کے گھاٹ اتار دیا گیا -ملزم آلہ قتل سمیت فرار ہونے میں کامیاب مقتولہ 19 سالہ ، لڑکی نے حارث مجیب سکنہ دیہہ سے کورٹ میرج کر لی تھی جس بنا پر دونوں خاندانوں میں دشمنی چل رہی تھی اور لڑکی کے خاندان والوں کو اس کورٹ میرج کا شدید رنج تھا نوید اور چند معززین علاقہ نے ثالثی کا کردار ادا کرتے ہوئے دونوں خاندانوں کے درمیان صلح کروانے کی خاطر آج شام بوقت تقریبا 7 بجے کے قریب مقتولہ کو اپنے میکے والوں سے ملانے کے لیے اس کے ماموں کے گھر لیکر آئے جب مقتولہ اپنے ماموں کے گھر پہنچی تو وہاں اسکا ماموں، والد ، اور والد کا کزن زعفران موجود تھے ، زعفران نامی شخص نے طیش میں اکر پسٹل 30 بور سے فائرنگ کر دی فائرنگ کی زد میں آکر لڑکی شدید زخمی ہو گی اور زخموں کی تاب نہ لاتے ہوئے جانبحق ہو گی ملزم ذعفران موقع واردات سے فرار ہو گیا واقعے کی اطلاع ملتے ہی ایس ایچ او تھانہ جاتلی ملک آفتاب، انچارج چوکی دولتالہ پولیس نفری کے ہمراہ جائے وقوعہ پر پہنچے پولیس نے ڈیڈ باڈی کو اپنی تحویل میں لے لیا پولیس فرانزک ٹیم جائے وقوعہ سے شواہد اگھٹے کیے اور ریسکیو کی امدادی ٹیم کے ہمراہ ڈیڈ باڈی کو پوسٹ مارٹم کے لیے تحصیل ہیڈ کوارٹر ہسپتال گوجرخان منتقل کردیا گیا ایس ایچ او تھانہ جاتلی نے اپنا موقف دیتے ہوئے بتایا کہ مقتولہ کے والد یا شوہر میں سے کسی نے بھی مقدمہ کے اندراج کے لیے ہمیں فی الحال کوئی درخواست نہیں دی

Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com, August 12, 2023) — A young woman was tragically shot and killed for marrying of her own choice in the vicinity of Kanyal Bajrana, a region near Thana Jatli. The suspect, armed with a firearm, managed to escape after committing the crime. The victim, a 19-year-old woman named Mahira, had recently married Haris Majid of village Dhaya in Court Marriage. This marriage had ignited a feud between both families due to severe resentment from the girl’s family towards this court marriage. A few prominent individuals including Naveed and others from the area were trying to mediate and bring about reconciliation between the two families.

In an attempt to reconcile the families, a gathering was arranged in the evening around 7 p.m. where Mahira was taken to her maternal uncle’s house to meet her relatives from her mother’s side. When Mahira reached her maternal uncle’s house, her maternal uncle, father, and a cousin named Zafran were present. Tragically, Zafran, in a fit of rage, fired several shots from a 30-bore pistol, severely injuring the girl. Despite her injuries, Mahira couldn’t survive the attack and succumbed to her wounds.

The assailant, Zafran, managed to escape the scene immediately after the incident. As soon as the authorities were informed, SHO Thana Jatli, Malik Aftab, along with Incharge Chauki Daulatla Police, reached the location. The police took possession of the deceased’s body and handed it over to the post-mortem team. The crime scene was analyzed by the forensic team, and the body was transferred to the District Headquarters Hospital Gujar Khan for post-mortem.

SHO Thana Jatli, in a statement, informed that neither the victim’s father nor her husband has lodged any formal complaint regarding the incident at the moment. The investigation is ongoing to apprehend the suspect and gather evidence related to the case.

This tragic incident highlights the need for greater awareness and efforts to address issues related to forced marriages, honor killings, and the importance of individual choice and human rights. The authorities are diligently working to bring the perpetrator to justice and to provide support to the affected families.
