London; Freedom of the City Award for Social worker Mehr Khan

لندن؛؛(نمائندہ پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کوم ,محمد نصیر راجہ،28فروری2022ء)— والتھم فاریسٹ کونسل کی سابق میئر اور40برس سے چیرٹی کے کاموں میں بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لینے کے سبب مہر خان کو فریڈم آف دی سن ایوارڈ سے نوازا گیا۔ گلڈیال میں اس حوالے سے منعقد ایک باوقار تقریب میں انہیں ایوارڈ دیا گیا۔ یہ ایوارڈ حاصل کرنے والوں میں مورگن فری مین، اسٹین فری، آنجہانی پرنس فلپ کی والدہ کو بھی دیا جاچکا ہے۔ تقریب میں مہر خان کی فیملی کے افراد بھی شریک ہوئے۔ اس موقع پر گفتگو کرتے ہوئے مہر خان کا کہنا تھا کہ وہ4دہائیوں سے زائد عرصہ سے خواتین کو گھریلو تشدد سے بچانے، انہیں قومی دھارے کا حصہ بنانے اور پاکستان میں چیرٹی اسکول چلانے میں مصروف عمل ہیں۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ کمیونٹی کی خدمت کے لیے میری کمٹمنٹ کا اعتراف یہ ایوارڈ دے کر کیا گیا ہے جس کے لیے میں انتہائی شکر گزار ہوں،

Pothwar.com, Mohammad Naseer Raja, 28 February 2022) – Former Mayor of Waltham Forest Council and Mehar Khan has been awarded the Freedom of the Sun Award for his active participation in charity work for over 40 years. He was given the award at a prestigious ceremony held in this regard in Guildial. Among the recipients of this award is Morgan Freeman, Stan Free, the mother of the late Prince Philip. Mehr Khan’s family members also attended the ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Mehar Khan said that he has been working for more than four decades to protect women from domestic violence, make them part of the national mainstream and run charity schools in Pakistan. “My commitment to serving the community has been recognized with this award for which I am extremely grateful,” he said.
