Gujar Khan: Illegal Occupation of Government School Land in Gujar Khan Sparks Public Outcry

گوجرخان (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام، محمد نجیب جرال۔ 10 جولائی 2025): گوجرخان کی یونین کونسل نڑالی میں واقع گورنمنٹ بوائز سیکنڈری سکول نڑالی کو ایک سنگین مسئلے کا سامنا ہے، جہاں سکول کی کل 52 کنال مختص شدہ زمین میں سے صرف 16 کنال سکول کے زیرِ استعمال ہے، جبکہ باقی 36 کنال زمین پر مقامی افراد کی جانب سے مبینہ طور پر طویل عرصے سے ناجائز قبضہ کر رکھا گیا ہے۔

سکول کے پاس قانونی طور پر اپنی زمین موجود ہونے کے باوجود طلبہ کھیلوں کے میدان، اضافی کمروں اور دیگر سہولیات سے محروم ہیں۔ مقامی افراد اور سکول انتظامیہ کا کہنا ہے کہ اگر یہ زمین ناجائز قابضین سے واگزار کروالی جائے تو اسے طلبہ کی تعلیمی اور جسمانی نشوونما کے لیے استعمال کیا جا سکتا ہے۔

افسوسناک امر یہ ہے کہ سکول انتظامیہ کی مجرمانہ خاموشی اور بے بسی کے باعث ناجائز قابضین کے حوصلے مزید بڑھ گئے ہیں اور انہوں نے زمین پر غیر قانونی تعمیرات کا آغاز بھی کر دیا ہے۔ اس صورتحال نے طلبہ کی تعلیم، سرگرمیوں اور سہولیات کو شدید متاثر کیا ہے۔

مقامی عوام اور والدین نے وزیرِ اعلیٰ پنجاب اور دیگر متعلقہ حکام سے پرزور مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ ناجائز قابضین کے خلاف فوری کارروائی کی جائے اور سرکاری زمین سکول کے حوالے کی جائے تاکہ بچوں کو بہتر تعلیمی ماحول میسر آ سکے۔

یہ مسئلہ نہ صرف ایک سکول بلکہ پورے تعلیمی نظام کے لیے لمحۂ فکریہ ہے۔ عوام نے خبردار کیا ہے کہ اگر بروقت اقدامات نہ کیے گئے تو باقی ماندہ زمین بھی مستقل طور پر ضائع ہو سکتی ہے۔

Out of the total 52 kanals allocated to the school, only 16 kanals are currently in the school’s use, while the remaining 36 kanals have allegedly been encroached upon by local individuals.

Despite the land being officially designated for the school, students are deprived of basic facilities such as a playground. The school administration, along with members of the local community, has expressed concern that if the encroached land were reclaimed, it could be used to provide better academic infrastructure, including additional classrooms, sports fields, and other educational resources.

However, due to the inaction and alleged cowardice of the school administration, illegal occupants have grown bolder. Reports suggest that construction has already begun on parts of the occupied land. This has further restricted the school’s already limited space, directly impacting the students’ learning environment and extracurricular opportunities.

Frustration among parents and local residents is growing. Many have voiced their demands to the Chief Minister of Punjab and relevant authorities, urging them to take immediate action against the illegal occupants. They are calling for the land to be vacated and officially handed over to the school once again to ensure students have access to a safe and conducive educational environment.

The situation highlights not only the urgent need for intervention by district authorities but also the broader issue of land encroachments affecting public institutions in the region. Residents warn that if swift measures are not taken, more of the school’s property could be lost permanently.
