Rawat: Plane tickets to foreign destinations to get more expensive in Pakistan

روات (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام، اکرام الحق قریشی، ,01,جولائی، 2024) –پاکستان کی قومی اسمبلی نے بجٹ 2024-25 کی شق وار منظوری دے دی ہے جس میں بین الاقوامی فضائی سفر کے لیے ٹکٹوں پر ٹیکسوں کی شرح میں اضافے کی شق بھی منظور کی گئی ہے۔یکم جولائی سے بین الاقوامی سفر کے لیے اکانومی اور اکانومی پلس ٹکٹ پر 12 ہزار 500روپے ٹیکس دینا ہوگا۔شمالی، وسطی اور جنوبی امریکہ کے سفر کے لیے بزنس، کلب اور فرسٹ کلاس ٹکٹ پر ٹیکس کی شرح ساڑھے تین لاکھ روپے کر دی گئی ہے۔یکم جولائی سے امریکہ اور کینیڈا کے لیے بزنس کلاس اور کلب کلاس ٹکٹ پر ٹیکس میں ایک لاکھ روپے تک اضافہ کیا گیا ہے۔مشرق وسطیٰ اور افریقہ کے سفر کے لیے بزنس، فرسٹ اور کلب کلاس پر ڈیڑھ لاکھ روپے ٹیکس دینا ہو گا۔یورپ کے فضائی سفر کے لیے بزنس، فرسٹ اور کلب کلاس پر 2 لاکھ 10 ہزار روپے ٹیکس دینا ہوگا۔مشرق بعید، آسٹریلیا اور نیوزی لینڈ کے فضائی سفر پر بزنس، فرسٹ اور کلب کلاس پر دو لاکھ دس ہزار روپے ٹیکس ہوگا۔سولر پینل کے پارٹس کی درآمد پر سیلز ٹیکس کی چھوٹ مقامی سطح پر تیار کرنے کے لیے سولر پینل کے پارٹس کی درآمد پر سیلز ٹیکس کی چھوٹ دے دی گئی ہے۔ بیک شیٹ فلم، کنیکٹر، کارنر بلاک، پولی تھین کمپاؤنڈ، پلیٹ شیٹ پر سیلز ٹیکس کی چھوٹ دی گئی ہے۔ اس کے علاوہ پارٹس آف سولر انورٹر پر سیلز ٹیکس کی چھوٹ ہو گی۔ پارٹس آف لیتھیم بیٹریز پر بھی سیلز ٹیکس چھوٹ کی ترمیم بھی منظور ہو گئی ہے۔

Rawat (Pothwar.com, Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi, 01, July 2024) –—The Pakistan government has imposed new taxes on foreign travel with travellers to pay additional excise duty on purchasing tickets, ARY News reported on Friday.

According to the Finance Bill 2024-25 passed by the National Assembly (NA) today, an excise duty of Rs12,500 will be imposed on economy and economy plus class tickets, while business and club class tickets will be taxed at a higher rate.

For travel to the United States and Canada, the foreign travellers with business and club class tickets will pay excise duty of Rs350,000, while for Europe, the excise duty on business and club class tickets will increase by Rs60,000 to Rs210,000 rupees.

Similarly, for travel to New Zealand and Australia, business and club class tickets will be taxed at Rs210,000, while for China, Malaysia, and Indonesia, the tax will be the same.

The Pakistan government has also increased excise duty from Rs30,000 to Rs105,000 on business and club class tickets to the Middle East and Africa, including Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and other countries.

The taxes will apply to all international travel from July 1, and travellers will have to pay the tax at the time of booking their tickets.
