Rawat: Rawalpindi Police Announce Foolproof Security Plan for Youm-e-Ashura

روات (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — اکرام الحق قریشی | 26جون 2026) —یوم عاشور کے لئے راولپنڈی پولیس کے سیکورٹی انتظامات ، 8 ہزار سے زائد افسران و اہلکار سیکورٹی فرائض سر انجام دیں گے، یوم عاشور کے مرکزی جلوس پر 5500 سے زائد افسران و اہلکار فرائض سر انجام دیں گے، 1200 سے زائد ٹریفک پولیس افسران و اہلکار فرائض سر انجام دیں گے، 1000 سے زائد رضا کار بھی سیکورٹی میں معاونت فراہم کریں گے، مرکزی جلوس سمیت تمام جلوسوں و مجالس کے لئے فول پروف سیکورٹی انتظامات کئے گئے ہیں،جلوس کے روٹ پر راستے گلیاں سیل کی جائیں گی، بلند عمارتوں پر سنائپرز تعینات کئے جائیں گے، جلوس کے شرکاء باڈی سرچ کے بعد ہی داخل ہو سکیں گے، خواتین کی چیکنگ کے لئے لیڈیز پولیس فرائض سر انجام دے گی، جلوس کے شرکاء کو میٹل ڈیٹیکٹر اور واک تھرو گیٹ سے سکین کیا جائے گا، 2000 سے زائد سیف سٹی اور دیگر کیمروں سے شہر بھر کی مانیٹرنگ کی جا رہی ہے، سیف سٹی اور مرکزی کنٹرول روم سے مسلسل مانیٹرنگ کی جا رہی ہے، شہر کے داخلی و خارجی راستوں پر بھی خصوصی پکٹس قائم کی گئی ہیں، راولپنڈی پولیس نے شناخت اور سکیننگ کے لئے خصوصی ایپ تیار کی ہے جس سے کسی بھی شخص کے شناختی کارڈ کو فوری سکین کیا جا سکتا ہے،ایپ کے ذریعے داخلی پکٹس، بس اڈوں پر سکیننگ کی جا رہی ہے، یوم عاشور پر فول پروف سیکورٹی اور امن و امان کے قیام کے لئے دیگر اداروں اور ضلعی انتظامیہ کے ربط سے بہترین انتظامات کئے گئے ہیں،حکومت پنجاب کی جانب سے جاری کردہ ضابطہ اخلاق اور ایس او پیز پر مکمل عملدرآمد کو یقینی بنایا جائے گا۔

Rawat (Pothwar.com – Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi | June 26, 2026) — Rawalpindi Police have finalised comprehensive security arrangements for Youm-e-Ashura, deploying more than 8,000 officers and personnel across the district to ensure peace and order during religious processions and gatherings.

According to police officials, over 5,500 officers and personnel will be deployed specifically for the main Ashura procession, while more than 1,200 traffic police officials will manage traffic flow and road security. Additionally, over 1,000 volunteers will assist law enforcement agencies in maintaining order and supporting security operations.

Authorities stated that foolproof security measures have been implemented for all processions and religious gatherings. Routes of processions will be sealed, and snipers will be positioned on high-rise buildings along key routes as part of the security plan. Participants will only be allowed entry after thorough body searches.

Female police officers will be deployed for the search and screening of women participants. Metal detectors and walk-through gates will be used to scan all attendees before entry into procession areas.

More than 2,000 Safe City and other surveillance cameras are actively monitoring the city, with continuous oversight being carried out from the central Safe City control room. Special checkpoints have also been established at entry and exit points of the city.

Rawalpindi Police have also introduced a special mobile application for identification and scanning purposes, allowing instant verification of citizens’ identity cards. The app is being used at entry points and bus terminals for enhanced security screening.

Officials added that coordinated efforts with other government departments and district administration have ensured effective arrangements for maintaining peace and security during Youm-e-Ashura. Strict implementation of the code of conduct and SOPs issued by the Punjab government will be ensured throughout the district.
