رپورٹ میں بتایا گیا ہے کہ سارہ کے بہن بھائی 5 اکتوبر 2023ء سے اپنے دادا کے ساتھ جہلم میں رہ رہے ہیں، دادا کے وکیل نے کہا ہے کہ بچے دہری شہریت رکھتے ہیں، مستقبل میں چاہیں تو وہ برطانیہ جا سکتے ہیں۔

رپورٹ کے مطابق سارہ کی تشدد زدہ لاش 10 اگست 2023ء کو ووکنگ میں اس کے گھر سے ملی تھی، بچی کے قتل کے جرم میں والد عرفان کو 40 برس، سوتیلی ماں کو 33 برس قید سنائی گئی تھی جب کہ چچا فیصل کو موت کا سبب بننے یا اسے روکنے میں ناکامی پر 16 برس قید کی سزا ہوئی تھی۔

According to international media reports, Surrey County Council stated that it had no option but to abandon the legal proceedings aimed at bringing Sara’s brothers and sisters back to the UK. The decision means the children will continue living in Pakistan under the care of their grandfather.

Reports indicate that Sara’s siblings have been residing with their grandfather in Jhelum since October 5, 2023. The grandfather’s lawyer stated that the children hold dual nationality and would be free to travel to or settle in the United Kingdom in the future should they choose to do so.

The development comes as authorities continue to deal with the aftermath of one of Britain’s most disturbing child abuse cases. Sara Sharif’s body was discovered at her family home in Woking on August 10, 2023. Investigators found evidence that the young girl had suffered prolonged abuse before her death.

Sara’s father, Irfan Sharif, was sentenced to 40 years in prison after being convicted in connection with her murder. Her stepmother received a 33-year prison sentence, while her uncle, Faisal Malik, was sentenced to 16 years in prison for causing or failing to prevent her death.
