Kahuta: Jamaat-e-Islami Protests Against Inflation and Rising Fuel Prices

کہوٹہ:(نمائندہ پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کوم، عمران ضمیر،02 مئی 2026) کہوٹہ میں جماعت اسلامی کے زیرِ اہتمام مہنگائی اور پٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں میں مسلسل اضافے کے خلاف ایک بھرپور احتجاجی مظاہرہ کیا گیا۔ یہ مظاہرہ بعد از نمازِ جمعہ مچھلی چوک میں منعقد ہوا جس میں کارکنان، تاجروں، بزرگوں اور نوجوانوں کی بڑی تعداد نے شرکت کی۔

مظاہرین نے ہاتھوں میں بینرز اور پلے کارڈز اٹھا رکھے تھے جن پر پٹرول و ڈیزل کی قیمتوں میں کمی، شرحِ سود میں کمی، ٹیکسوں میں ریلیف اور تعلیم و صحت کی بنیادی سہولیات کی فراہمی کے مطالبات درج تھے۔ احتجاج کے دوران شدید نعرے بازی کی گئی اور حکومتی پالیسیوں کے خلاف بھرپور آواز بلند کی گئی۔

اس موقع پر امیر جماعت اسلامی حلقہ پی پی 7 ابرار حسین عباسی اور دیگر مقررین نے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ مہنگائی نے عوام کا جینا دوبھر کر دیا ہے جبکہ پٹرولیم مصنوعات کی قیمتوں میں مسلسل اضافہ عوام پر مزید معاشی بوجھ ڈال رہا ہے۔

مقررین کا کہنا تھا کہ حکومتی معاشی پالیسیاں ناکام ہو چکی ہیں جس کے باعث عوام شدید مشکلات کا شکار ہیں، جبکہ حکمران طبقہ مراعات اور پروٹوکول میں مصروف ہے۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ ایک طرف عوام دو وقت کی روٹی کے لیے پریشان ہیں اور دوسری طرف اشیائے ضروریہ کی قیمتیں آسمان سے باتیں کر رہی ہیں۔

انہوں نے مطالبہ کیا کہ پٹرول و ڈیزل کی قیمتوں میں فوری کمی، بجلی و گیس کے بلوں میں ریلیف، غیر ضروری ٹیکسوں کا خاتمہ اور تعلیم و صحت کی بنیادی سہولیات کی فوری فراہمی یقینی بنائی جائے، بصورت دیگر احتجاج کا دائرہ مزید وسیع کیا جائے گا۔

Kahuta (Pothwar.com — Imran Zamir | May 02, 2026): A strong protest was staged in Kahuta by Jamaat-e-Islami against rising inflation and continuous increases in petroleum prices. The demonstration took place after Friday prayers at Machhli Chowk and was attended by a large number of party workers, traders, elders, and youth.

Protesters carried banners and placards demanding a reduction in petrol and diesel prices, lower interest rates, tax relief, and the provision of basic facilities in education and healthcare. Loud slogans were raised, expressing strong opposition to government policies.

On this occasion, Jamaat-e-Islami PP-7 Ameer Abrar Hussain Abbasi and other speakers addressed the gathering, stating that inflation has made life extremely difficult for the public. They added that the constant rise in fuel prices is placing an increasing financial burden on citizens.

Speakers criticised the government’s economic policies, saying they have failed and pushed the public into severe hardship, while the ruling elite remain occupied with privileges and protocol. They further noted that people are struggling to afford basic necessities as prices of essential items continue to skyrocket.

They demanded an immediate reduction in fuel prices, relief in electricity and gas bills, elimination of unnecessary taxes, and urgent provision of basic education and healthcare facilities. They warned that if their demands are not met, the scope of the protests will be expanded.
