Rawat: Rush at Rawalpindi Railway Station as Transport Shutdown Prompts Emergency Inspection

روات (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — اکرام الحق قریشی |24 اپریل 2026ء)— وفاقی وزیر ریلوئے محمد حنیف عباسی کی ہدایت پر پاکستان ریلوے کے ڈویژنل سپرنٹنڈنٹ راولپنڈی ڈویژن نورالدین داوڑ نے متعلقہ افسران کے ہمراہ راولپنڈی ریلوے سٹیشن کا ہنگامی دورہ کیا جہاں موجودہ صورتحال کے پیش نظر راولپنڈی/اسلام آباد میں پبلک و پرائیویٹ ٹرانسپورٹ سروس کی بندش کے باعث مسافروں کے غیر معمولی رش کا جائزہ لیا گیا۔
دورے کے دوران مسافروں کی سہولت، ٹکٹنگ کے نظام، ویٹنگ ایریاز، صفائی ستھرائی اور سکیورٹی انتظامات کا تفصیلی معائنہ کیا گیا۔ ڈویژنل سپرنٹنڈنٹ نے متعلقہ افسران کو ہدایات جاری کیں کہ مسافروں کو زیادہ سے زیادہ سہولت فراہم کی جائے اور کسی بھی قسم کی دشواری سے بچانے کے لیے تمام دستیاب وسائل بروئے کار لائے جائیں۔
انہوں نے مزید ہدایت کی کہ اضافی عملہ تعینات کیا جائے، معلوماتی کائونٹرز کو فعال رکھا جائے اور ٹرین آپریشن کو بروقت یقینی بنایا جائے تاکہ مسافروں کو درپیش مشکلات میں کمی لائی جا سکے۔
اس موقع پر انہوں نے اس عزم کا اعادہ کیا کہ پاکستان ریلوے ہر مشکل اور آزمائش کے وقت مسافروں کو ہرممکن سہولیات فراہم کرنے میں پیش پیش رہتا ہے۔راولپنڈی/اسلام آباد میں جہاں دیگر ٹرانسپورٹ سہولیات بند ہیں، وہیں ریلوے اپنی بھرپور کوششوں کے ذریعے مسافروں کو ان کی منزل تک پہنچا رہا ہے اور وقت کی پابندی کو بھی یقینی بنا رہا ہے۔انہوں نے کہا کہ اس وقت معمول سے زیادہ مسافر اسلام آباد سے سفر کر رہے ہیں تاہم وہ مطمئن بھی نظر آ رہے ہیں۔ یہی ادارے کا عزم ہے کہ اپنے مسافروں کو آرام دہ، محفوظ اور بہترین سفری سہولیات فراہم کی جائیں۔پاکستان ریلوے مسافروں کو محفوظ، آرام دہ اور بروقت سفری سہولیات فراہم کرنے کے لیے ہرممکن اقدامات جاری رکھے ہوئے ہے۔

Rawat (Pothwar.com — Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi | April 24, 2026) — On the instructions of Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, Divisional Superintendent of Pakistan Railways Rawalpindi Division, Nooruddin Dawar, conducted an emergency visit to Rawalpindi Railway Station along with relevant officials.

The visit was prompted by an unusual surge in passengers due to the suspension of public and private transport services in Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Officials reviewed the situation on the ground, focusing on passenger facilitation and operational capacity.

During the inspection, arrangements related to ticketing systems, waiting areas, cleanliness, and security were thoroughly examined. The Divisional Superintendent directed concerned authorities to ensure maximum convenience for passengers and to utilise all available resources to prevent inconvenience.

He further instructed that additional staff be deployed, information counters remain fully functional, and train operations be maintained on schedule to ease the difficulties faced by travellers.

Reaffirming the department’s commitment, he stated that Pakistan Railways continues to stand at the forefront in providing support during challenging times. With other transport services halted in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the railway is making full efforts to transport passengers to their destinations efficiently while maintaining punctuality.

He noted that passenger volume from Islamabad is currently higher than usual, but travellers appear generally satisfied. He emphasised that the organisation remains committed to ensuring safe, comfortable, and reliable travel facilities.

Pakistan Railways continues to take all necessary measures to provide passengers with secure, comfortable, and timely travel services.
