Libya Boat Tragedy: Body of Ehtisham Saeed Laid to Rest in Kallar Syedan After 10 Months

لیبیا /کلر سیداں (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — اکرام الحق قریشی | 23 اپریل 2026)—لیبیا سے اٹلی جاتے ہوئے کشتی کے سمندر میں ڈوب جانے سے جاں بحق ہونے والے احتشام سعید کو دس ماہ بعد کلرسیداں میں سپرد خاک کردیا گیا اکتیس سالہ احتشام سعید کئی برس سعودی عرب میں مقیم رھا گزشتہ برس وہ کام چھوڑ کر پاکستان واپس آ گیا اور تقریبا دس ماہ قبل یہ ٹکال کے مقامی ایجنٹ کے ذریعے اٹلی جانے کے لیے لیبیا روانہ ہوا جہاں سے وہ اٹلی جانے کے لئے کشتی میں سوار ہوا تھا کشتی بیچ سمندر کے ڈوب گئی جس سے متعدد تارکین وطن موت کے منہ میں چلے گئے واقعہ کے چند ماہ بعد اس کی نعش مالٹا کے جزیرے سے ملی جس کے بعد وہاں تفتیشی مراحل جاری رہے جن کے اختتام پر پاکستانی سفارتخانہ کے تعاون سے نعش کو پاکستان منتقل کیا گیا اور بدھ کے روز اسے چوآخالصہ کے گاؤں بڑی بن میں سپرد خاک کر دیا گیا۔

Libya / Kallar Syedan (Pothwar.com — Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi | 23 April 2026): Ehtisham Saeed, a 31-year-old migrant who tragically lost his life in a boat sinking incident while attempting to travel from Libya to Italy, has finally been laid to rest in his hometown near Kallar Syedan after a delay of ten months.

According to reports, Ehtisham Saeed had spent several years working in Saudi Arabia before returning to Pakistan last year. Seeking better opportunities, he later departed for Libya approximately ten months ago through a local agent based in Takal, with the intention of reaching Italy via sea.

During the journey, the migrant boat carrying Ehtisham and several others capsized in the open sea, resulting in the deaths of multiple passengers. Months after the incident, his body was recovered from the coast of Malta, where legal and investigative procedures were carried out.

Following the completion of formalities, the body was repatriated to Pakistan with the assistance of the Pakistani embassy. On Wednesday, he was laid to rest in his native village, Bari Ban near Choha Khalsa, in a sombre funeral attended by family members and locals.
