روات (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام، اکرم الحق قریشی – 29 جون 2025):روات کے علاقے میں گزشتہ رات دیر گئے کرائم کنٹرول ڈیپارٹمنٹ اور مقامی پولیس کی مشترکہ کارروائی کے دوران فائرنگ کے تبادلے میں ایک مشتبہ کار چھیننے والا ہلاک ہو گیا جبکہ اس کے دو ساتھی فرار ہونے میں کامیاب ہو گئے۔ یہ واقعہ اس وقت پیش آیا جب فیز 8 کے علاقے سے چھینی گئی کار کی اطلاع پر قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں نے روات کے علاقے میں ناکہ بندی کر رکھی تھی۔

پولیس ذرائع کے مطابق تینوں ملزمان چھینی گئی کار میں سوار تھے اور جب کرائم کنٹرول ڈیپارٹمنٹ (CCD) اور روات پولیس کی مشترکہ ٹیم نے انہیں رکنے کا اشارہ کیا تو ملزمان نے پولیس پر فائرنگ شروع کر دی، جس پر جوابی فائرنگ کی گئی۔

فائرنگ کے تبادلے میں ایک ملزم گولی لگنے سے موقع پر ہی ہلاک ہو گیا، جس کی شناخت آصف کے نام سے ہوئی۔ پولیس کے مطابق آصف راولپنڈی اور اسلام آباد میں گاڑی چوری اور اغوا برائے تاوان کے متعدد مقدمات میں ملوث اور ریکارڈ یافتہ تھا۔ اس کے دو ساتھی تاریکی کا فائدہ اٹھاتے ہوئے فرار ہو گئے، جن کی تلاش کے لیے علاقے میں سرچ آپریشن جاری ہے۔

پولیس نے تصدیق کی ہے کہ کارروائی کے دوران وہ کار بھی برآمد کر لی گئی ہے جو کچھ دیر قبل فیز 8 سے اسلحے کے زور پر چھینی گئی تھی۔

فائرنگ کے دوران کانسٹیبل ثقلین فرحت کو سینے پر گولی لگی، تاہم وہ بلٹ پروف جیکٹ پہننے کے باعث محفوظ رہے اور بڑی زخمی ہونے سے بچ گئے۔

واقعہ کی اطلاع ملنے پر ایس ایس پی کرائم کنٹرول ڈیپارٹمنٹ، ایس پی صدر اور دیگر سینئر افسران موقع پر پہنچ گئے۔ سٹی پولیس آفیسر (CPO) سید خالد حمدانی نے جرات مندانہ کارروائی پر CCD اور روات پولیس ٹیموں کو شاباش دی اور ان کی بروقت کارروائی کو سراہا۔

انہوں نے کہا کہ “شہریوں کی جان و مال کو خطرے میں ڈالنے والے قانون کی گرفت سے نہیں بچ سکتے،” اور یقین دلایا کہ فرار ہونے والے ملزمان کو جلد گرفتار کر کے قانون کے کٹہرے میں لایا جائے گا۔

روات اور گرد و نواح کے علاقوں میں سرچ آپریشن بدستور جاری ہے تاکہ باقی مفرور ملزمان کو بھی گرفتار کیا جا سکے۔

Rawat (Pothwar.com, Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi – June 29, 2025): A suspected carjacker was killed in an exchange of fire with the Crime Control Department and local police late last night, while two of his accomplices managed to escape. The incident occurred in the Rawat area when law enforcement had set up a blockade following a tip-off regarding a car that had been recently snatched in Phase 8.

According to police sources, the three suspects were driving the stolen vehicle when they were signaled to stop by the joint team of the Crime Control Department (CCD) and Rawat police. Instead of complying, the suspects opened fire on the officers, triggering a shootout.

During the exchange of gunfire, one of the suspects was fatally shot and later identified as Asif, a habitual offender with a record of involvement in vehicle theft and kidnapping for ransom cases in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. His two accomplices managed to flee under the cover of darkness, prompting a large-scale search operation in the surrounding areas to track them down.

Police confirmed that the stolen vehicle, which had been taken at gunpoint from the Phase 8 area earlier in the evening, was successfully recovered during the operation.

One police constable, Saqlain Farhat, was struck in the chest by a bullet during the shootout but escaped serious injury thanks to his bulletproof vest.

Senior police officials, including SSP Crime Control Department and SP Saddar, arrived at the scene shortly after the incident. City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani praised the bravery and swift response of the CCD and Rawat police teams, commending their efforts in recovering the stolen car and standing firm in the face of danger.

“The criminals who threaten the safety and property of citizens will not escape the law,” CPO Hamdani stated, assuring that those responsible will be brought to justice.

Search operations remain ongoing in Rawat and surrounding areas to locate and apprehend the remaining fugitives.
