Gujar Khan: Rawalpindi Ring Road Near Completion as Project Enters Final Phase

گوجر خان (پوٹھوا ڈاٹ کام / 18 جون 2026) — راولپنڈی اور اسلام آباد کے شہریوں کے لیے ایک بڑی پیش رفت سامنے آئی ہے، کیونکہ راولپنڈی رنگ روڈ منصوبہ تکمیل کے آخری مرحلے میں داخل ہو چکا ہے اور اسے جلد ٹریفک کے لیے کھولنے کی تیاریاں جاری ہیں۔

سرکاری ذرائع کے مطابق 38.6 کلومیٹر طویل رنگ روڈ منصوبے کا 90 فیصد سے زائد تعمیراتی کام مکمل ہو چکا ہے جبکہ منصوبے کی مکمل کارپیٹنگ بھی کامیابی کے ساتھ مکمل کر لی گئی ہے، جو اس منصوبے کی تکمیل کی جانب ایک اہم سنگ میل ہے۔

حکام نے بتایا ہے کہ منصوبے کے تمام اہم انٹرچینجز، جن میں بانٹھ، چک بیلی خان، اڈیالہ اور چکری شامل ہیں، مکمل طور پر تعمیر ہو چکے ہیں اور استعمال کے لیے تیار ہیں۔ صرف 5 سے 7 فیصد معمولی کام باقی رہ گیا ہے، جس میں نکاسی آب کا نظام، فنشنگ اور خوبصورتی کے کام شامل ہیں۔

یہ منصوبہ 46.64 ارب روپے کی لاگت سے تعمیر کیا جا رہا ہے اور توقع ہے کہ یہ راولپنڈی اور گردونواح میں ٹریفک کے دباؤ کو کم کرنے میں اہم کردار ادا کرے گا۔ اس سے نہ صرف سفر کے اوقات میں نمایاں کمی آئے گی بلکہ شہری اور دیہی علاقوں کے درمیان آمدورفت بھی بہتر ہوگی۔

ماہرین اور ترقیاتی حکام کے مطابق رنگ روڈ منصوبہ خطے کی معیشت کے لیے ایک گیم چینجر ثابت ہوگا، جو نہ صرف ٹرانسپورٹ کے نظام کو بہتر بنائے گا بلکہ صنعتی اور رہائشی علاقوں کے درمیان رابطے کو بھی مضبوط کرے گا۔

مزید برآں رنگ روڈ کے اطراف مجوزہ انڈسٹریل زونز سے نئی سرمایہ کاری، روزگار کے مواقع اور تجارتی سرگرمیوں میں اضافہ متوقع ہے۔

تاجر برادری نے بھی اس پیش رفت کا خیر مقدم کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ یہ منصوبہ کاروباری سرگرمیوں کو فروغ دے گا اور لاجسٹک مسائل میں کمی لائے گا، جس سے مجموعی معاشی ترقی کو تقویت ملے گی۔

شہریوں نے امید ظاہر کی ہے کہ منصوبے کی تکمیل کے بعد نہ صرف روزمرہ سفر آسان ہوگا بلکہ راولپنڈی اور اسلام آباد کے درمیان معاشی اور تجارتی روابط بھی مزید مضبوط ہوں گے۔

According to official sources, more than 90 percent of the 38.6-kilometre-long Ring Road has already been completed. The entire carpeting work on the project has also been successfully finished, marking a significant milestone towards its operational launch.

Authorities confirmed that all major interchanges, including Banth, Chak Beli Khan, Adiala, and Chakri, have been fully constructed and are ready for use. Only 5 to 7 percent of the remaining work is pending, which mainly includes drainage systems, finishing works, and landscaping-related beautification.

The project, which is estimated to cost Rs. 46.64 billion, is expected to play a transformative role in reducing traffic congestion in Rawalpindi and surrounding areas. It will significantly cut travel time between key urban and suburban zones while also improving overall traffic flow in the region.
