Rawat: PLRA Makes Green Property Certificate Mandatory for Property Transactions in Rawalpindi Division

روات (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — اکرام الحق قریشی |03 مئی 2026ء)— پنجاب لینڈ ریکارڈز اتھارٹی (پی ایل آر اے) نے راولپنڈی ڈویژن میں جائیداد کی خرید و فروخت کے عمل کو مزید شفاف بنانے کے لیے یکم جولائی سے “گرین پراپرٹی سرٹیفیکیٹ” کو لازمی قرار دینے کا اعلان کر دیا ہے۔ترجمان کے مطابق اس فیصلے کا اطلاق راولپنڈی ڈویژن کے تمام اضلاع، بشمول راولپنڈی، اٹک، جہلم اور چکوال پر ہوگا، جہاں اب کسی بھی جائیداد کی رجسٹری یا انتقال سے قبل اس سرٹیفیکیٹ کا حصول لازمی ہوگا۔

حکام کے مطابق اس اقدام کا مقصد پراپرٹی کے شعبے میں دھوکہ دہی، جعلی دستاویزات اور ڈبل سیلنگ جیسے مسائل کا خاتمہ کرنا ہے، جبکہ قبضہ مافیا کے خلاف مؤثر کارروائی کو بھی یقینی بنایا جائے گا۔ترجمان نے شہریوں کو ہدایت کی ہے کہ وہ کسی بھی قسم کی خرید و فروخت سے قبل متعلقہ اراضی ریکارڈ سنٹر سے گرین پراپرٹی سرٹیفیکیٹ ضرور حاصل کریں تاکہ قانونی پیچیدگیوں سے بچا جا سکے۔

Rawat (Pothwar.com — Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi, May 03 2026): The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has announced that the “Green Property Certificate” will be made mandatory from July 1 to enhance transparency in property transactions across the Rawalpindi Division.

According to an official spokesperson, the decision will apply to all districts within the division, including Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, and Chakwal. Under the new regulation, obtaining the certificate will be a prerequisite before the registration or transfer of any property.

Authorities stated that the primary objective of this initiative is to eliminate fraud, forged documentation, and issues such as double selling in the real estate sector. The move is also aimed at strengthening action against illegal land occupation and organised land mafias.

The spokesperson further advised citizens to obtain the Green Property Certificate from their respective land record centres before engaging in any property transaction. This step, officials say, will help protect buyers and sellers from legal complications and ensure secure dealings.

The initiative is being seen as a significant step toward modernising land record management and improving public trust in the property market across the region.
