پاکستان اور برطانوی حکومت کے درمیان قیدیوں کے تبادلے کا معاہدہ طے پاگیا، معاہدے پر دستخط برطانوی ہائی کمیشن میں کئےگئے۔
برطانوی ہائی کمیشن کی جانب سےجاری اعلامیے میں کہا گیاہے کہ پاکستان کی جانب سے سیکریٹری داخلہ میجر ریٹائرڈ اعظم سلیمان خان ، جبکہ برطانیہ کی جانب سے برطانوی ہائی کمشنر تھامسن ڈریو نے معاہدے پر دستخط کیے۔معاہدےکامقصد قیدیوں کی سزا اپنے ممالک میں اوراپنے ماحول میں مکمل کرنا ہے، معاہدےکی باہمی منظوری برطانوی ہوم سیکریٹری ساجد جاوید کی ستمبر میں پاکستان آمد پر دی گئی تھی۔
London; Pakistan and the United Kingdom on Thursday inked a prisoner transfer agreement giving inmates the opportunity to serve their sentence closer to home.
The UK-Pakistan Prisoner Transfer Agreement was signed by the British High Commissioner Thomas Drew and Pakistan Interior Secretary Major (R) Azam Suleman Khan.
Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Accountability Shahzad Akbar and other officials also attended the agreement signing ceremony.
