میرپور(نمائندہ پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کوم ,03نومبر2021)— آزاد جموں و کشمیر کے ضلع سدھنوتی کے قریب بدھ کی سہ پہر راولپنڈی جانے والی بس کھائی میں گرنے سے کم از کم 23 افراد جاں بحق اور 8 زخمی ہوگئے۔40 نشستوں پر مشتمل مسافر بس نے بلوچ ٹاؤن سے اپنے سفر کا آغاز کیا۔ عینی شاہدین کے مطابق منجاری کے قریب گاڑی کی بریکیں فیل ہوگئیں جس کے بعد وہ پہلے پہاڑ سے ٹکرا گئی اور پھر 500 میٹر گہری کھائی میں جاگری۔پلندری کے ڈپٹی کمشنر نے تصدیق کی کہ ہلاک ہونے والوں میں خواتین اور بچے بھی شامل ہیں۔ لاشوں کو نکالنے کے لیے ریسکیو آپریشن جاری ہے۔ دوسری جانب زخمی مسافروں کو اسپتال منتقل کردیا گیا ہے,اب تک 21 لاشیں نکالی جا چکی ہیں۔ خستہ حال سڑکوں اور تیز موڑ کی وجہ سے امدادی ٹیموں کو مشکلات کا سامنا ہے۔آزاد جموں و کشمیر کے وزیراعظم عبدالقیوم نیازی نے غمزدہ خاندانوں سے اظہار تعزیت کیا ہے۔ انہوں نے انتظامیہ کو امدادی کارروائیاں تیز کرنے کی ہدایت کی ہے۔
Mirpur, AJK; At least 23 people died and eight injured after a Rawalpindi-bound bus plunged into a ravine near Azad Jammu and Kashmir’s Sudhnoti district Wednesday afternoon.
The 40-seat passenger bus started its journey from the Baloch town. According to witnesses, near Manjari, the vehicle’s brakes failed after which it first collided with a mountain and then fell into a 500-meter deep ravine.
The deputy commissioner of Palandri confirmed that the people killed included women and children. A rescue operation is underway to retrieve the bodies. The injured passengers have, on the other hand, been moved to the hospital.
So far, 21 bodies have been recovered. The rescue teams are facing difficulties due to edgy roads and their swift turns.
Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Abdul Qayyum Niazi has expressed condolences with the grieving families. He has directed the administration to expedite relief operations.
