Gujar Khan: Incomplete GHS School Building in Changa Maira Turns into a Haven for Drug Addicts

چنگا میرا، گوجر خان (نمائندہ پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام, راجہ طارق ایوب| 16جون 2026):چنگا میرا میں گورنمنٹ ہائیر سیکنڈری سکول کی عمارت گزشتہ گیارہ برس سے ادھوری اور نامکمل پڑی ہے، جس کے باعث یہ عمارت نشئیوں، افیونیوں اور پوڈریوں کی آماجگاہ بن چکی ہے۔ اہل علاقہ نے حکومت اور متعلقہ حکام سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ اس اہم تعلیمی منصوبے کو فوری طور پر مکمل کیا جائے تاکہ علاقے میں تعلیم کے فروغ کو یقینی بنایا جا سکے۔

تفصیلات کے مطابق گورنمنٹ ہائیر سیکنڈری سکول چنگا میرا کی عمارت کا افتتاح سال 2015 میں کیا گیا تھا، تاہم منصوبے پر کام مکمل نہ ہو سکا اور ٹھیکیدار اسے ادھورا چھوڑ کر غائب ہو گیا۔ مقامی افراد کے مطابق متعدد بار ارباب اختیار کو اس مسئلے سے آگاہ کیا گیا لیکن تاحال کوئی عملی اقدام نہیں اٹھایا گیا۔

چنگا میرا کے گرد و نواح میں واقع کور نصیب، ڈھوک باغ، اومنکا، پکا سرائے، مل اعوان، ملکوال، موہڑہ بھگو، ہرڑ اور دیگر دیہات کے طلبہ کے لیے یہ سکول انتہائی اہمیت کا حامل ہے۔ اہل علاقہ کا کہنا ہے کہ اگر یہ منصوبہ مکمل ہو جائے تو سینکڑوں بچوں کو بہتر تعلیمی سہولیات میسر آ سکتی ہیں۔

مقامی شہریوں کے مطابق چونکہ عمارت کئی سال سے غیر استعمال شدہ اور ویران پڑی ہے، اس لیے تاش کھیلنے والے افراد، نشئیوں اور دیگر غیر سماجی عناصر نے اسے اپنا ٹھکانہ بنا لیا ہے، جس سے علاقے میں تشویش پائی جاتی ہے۔

اہل علاقہ نے سابق وزیر اعظم اور رکن قومی اسمبلی راجہ پرویز اشرف سے اپیل کی ہے کہ وہ اس مسئلے کا نوٹس لیں اور گیارہ سال سے زیر التوا اس تعلیمی منصوبے کو مکمل کروائیں تاکہ علاقے کے بچوں کو تعلیم کے بہتر مواقع میسر آ سکیں اور تعلیم کا فروغ ممکن ہو۔

Local residents have urged the government to complete the long-delayed project to promote education in the area.

According to residents, construction of the school building began after its inauguration in 2015. However, the contractor allegedly abandoned the project before completion, leaving the structure unfinished. Despite repeated requests and appeals to the authorities over the years, no significant action has been taken.

The school is considered vital for students from Changa Maira and surrounding villages, including Kor Naseeb, Dhok Bagh, Omonka, Pakka Sarai, Mal Awan, Malkwal, Mohra Bhago, Harar, and several other nearby settlements. Residents say the completion of the school would greatly benefit hundreds of students seeking access to quality education.

Locals further claim that the abandoned building has become a shelter for card players, drug users, and other undesirable elements due to its prolonged neglect and lack of official attention.

Residents have appealed to Member of the National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf to intervene and ensure the completion of the project, enabling local students to continue their education in a proper learning environment and helping promote education throughout the region.
