Kallar Syedan (Pothwar.com — Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi | March 02, 2026) — A motorcyclist carrying 70 litres of petrol without legal permission was apprehended during routine patrol duty by Punjab Highway Patrol officials in the Chak Pandori area of Kallar Syedan.
According to details, Incharge of Punjab Highway Patrol Check Post Chak Pandori, Chaudhry Amir Ali, signaled a motorcyclist to stop during patrol. However, the rider accelerated in an attempt to flee. After a brief chase, the patrol team successfully intercepted and stopped him.
Upon questioning, the motorcyclist identified himself as Mujtaba Hussain Shah, a resident of Murree. During the inspection of the motorcycle, officials recovered two plastic cans loaded onto the vehicle. Upon checking, the cans were found to contain a total of 70 liters of petrol.
The accused failed to produce any legal permit or authorization for transporting such a large quantity of fuel. Consequently, a case has been registered against him under relevant legal provisions, and further investigation is underway.
Authorities stated that strict action will continue against illegal transportation of fuel and other hazardous materials to ensure public safety and prevent any untoward incidents.
