Rawat: Rawalpindi Police Deploys 5,000 Officers for New Year Security

سی پی او سید خالد ہمدانی کی ہدایت پر راولپنڈی پولیس نے سال نو کے موقع پر شہریوں کے تحفظ اور ہوائی فائرنگ، آتش بازی اور ون ویلنگ کی روک تھام کے لیے بھرپور سیکورٹی پلان تیار کر لیا ہے۔ سال نو کی آمد پر 5 ہزار سے زائد افسران ڈیوٹی انجام دیں گے جن میں سے 850 سے زائد افسران ٹریفک ڈیوٹی پر تعینات ہوں گے۔

ون ویلنگ کی روک تھام کے لیے شہر بھر میں 70 سے زائد خصوصی پکٹس قائم کی گئی ہیں جبکہ ہوائی فائرنگ اور آتش بازی کے خلاف تمام تھانوں میں اضافی پکٹس لگائی گئی ہیں۔ سی پی او نے ان سرگرمیوں پر مکمل پابندی عائد کرتے ہوئے خبردار کیا ہے کہ خلاف ورزی کرنے والوں کے خلاف سخت کارروائی کی جائے گی اور ہوائی فائرنگ میں ملوث افراد کے خلاف دہشت گردی کی دفعات کے تحت مقدمہ درج کیا جائے گا۔

دولفن فورس، محافظ سکواڈ اور تھانوں کی موبائلز مسلسل ڈیوٹی پر رہیں گی۔ سال نو کے موقع پر مسیحی برادری کی عبادات کے سلسلے میں بھی موثر سیکورٹی انتظامات کیے گئے ہیں۔ سی پی او نے یقین دہانی کرائی کہ شہریوں کی جان و مال کے تحفظ اور قانون کی عملداری کو ہر صورت یقینی بنایا جائے گا۔

Under the directives of CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani, Rawalpindi Police has implemented an extensive security plan to ensure public safety and curb illegal activities such as aerial firing, fireworks, and stunt riding on the occasion of the New Year. Over 5,000 police officers will be on duty, including more than 850 officers specifically assigned to traffic management.

To prevent stunt riding, more than 70 special checkpoints have been established across the city. Additional pickets have also been set up at all police stations to control aerial firing and fireworks. The CPO has declared strict bans on these activities and warned that violators will face stringent action, with those involved in aerial firing being charged under anti-terrorism provisions.

Furthermore, Dolphin Force, Protector Squads, and mobile units from police stations will remain on continuous duty. Security arrangements have also been made to ensure the safety of Christian communities celebrating their New Year religious ceremonies. The CPO emphasized that all measures will be taken to guarantee the protection of life and property and to uphold law and order throughout the city.
