Saudi Ministry of Hajj Temporarily Suspends Agreements of 1,800 Foreign Umrah Agencies Over Violations

لندن (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — محمد نصیر راجہ | | 04 مارچ , 2026) — سعودی عرب کی وزارتِ حج کی جانب سے عمرہ خلاف ورزیوں پر 1 ہزار 800 غیرملکی ٹریول ایجنسیوں کے ایگریمنٹ عارضی طورپرمعطل کرنے کا اعلان کردیا گیا۔ سعودی خبررساں ایجنسی ایس پی اے کے مطابق وزارتِ حج کا کہنا ہے کہ بیرون مملکت رجسٹرڈ ٹریول ایجنسیوں کی تعداد 5 ہزار 800 ہے جن کا باقاعدہ وزارت میں اندراج ہے، جن ٹریول کمپنیوں کے خلاف تادیبی کارروائی کی گئی انہیں 10 دن کی مہلت دی گئی ہے تاکہ اس دوران وہ خلاف ورزیوں کو درست کرسکیں، شرائط پوری ہونے کے بعد ایگریمنٹ دوبارہ بحال کردیئے جائیں گے۔
اس حوالے سے جاری بیان میں کہا گیا ہے کہ بیرون مملکت کی جن ایجنسیوں کے خلاف کارروائی کی گئی ان کی سروسز مطلوبہ معیار کے مطابق نہیں تھیں جو وہ عمرہ زائرین کو فراہم کررہی تھیں، ایجنسیوں کے خلاف کارروائی سے وہ عمرہ زائرین متاثر نہیں ہوں گے جنہوں نے پابندی کے اطلاق سے قبل عمرہ ویزے جاری کرائے ہیں، ایسے تمام زائرین اپنے شیڈول کے مطابق مملکت آسکیں گے، تاہم خلاف ورزی کی مرتکب ٹریول ایجنسیوں کے لیے عارضی طور پر نئے ویزوں کا اجرا بند کردیا گیا۔
وزارت نے بتایا کہ یہ معطلی ایجنسیوں کو درجہ بندی کے مسائل حل کرنے اور منظور شدہ معیارات کے مطابق اپنی کارکردگی کو بہتر بنانے کے لیے ایک ضوابطی اقدام ہے، معطلی کی مدت کے دوران اگر ایجنسیوں نے اپنی ضروری اقدامات کر لیے تو معاہدے دوبارہ فعال ہو جائیں گے تاہم اگر کوئی ایجنسی معیاد تک اپنی کمی کو دور نہیں کرتی تو اس کے خلاف ضوابطی کارروائی کی جائے گی کیوں کہ منظور شدہ درجہ بندی اور کارکردگی کا اطلاق ایک بنیادی ضوابطی اقدام ہے تاکہ خدمات فراہم کرنے والوں کی تعمیل میں اضافہ کیا جا سکے اور خدمات منظور شدہ معیار کے مطابق ہوں۔

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj has announced the temporary suspension of agreements with 1,800 foreign travel agencies over violations related to Umrah services.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Ministry stated that a total of 5,800 overseas-registered travel agencies are officially enlisted with the Ministry. The agencies facing disciplinary action have been granted a 10-day grace period to rectify the identified violations. Upon fulfilment of the required standards and conditions, their agreements will be reinstated.
In an official statement, the Ministry clarified that the affected agencies had failed to provide services to Umrah pilgrims in accordance with approved standards. However, the suspension will not impact pilgrims who had already obtained their Umrah visas prior to the enforcement of the ban. Such pilgrims will be allowed to travel to the Kingdom as per their scheduled plans.
The Ministry further confirmed that during the suspension period, the concerned travel agencies will not be permitted to issue new Umrah visas.
Officials described the move as a regulatory measure aimed at resolving classification issues and ensuring improved performance in line with approved standards. The Ministry emphasised that if agencies address the deficiencies within the stipulated time, their agreements will be reactivated. Failure to comply may result in further regulatory action.
The Ministry reiterated that adherence to approved classifications and performance standards is a fundamental regulatory requirement to enhance compliance among service providers and to ensure quality services for Umrah pilgrims.
