Hong Kong: Major Fire Leaves 1,800 Families Affected, Around 250 Missing — Qamar Zaman Minhas

,ہانگ کانگ/کلر سیداں(نمائندہ پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کوم — اکرام الحق قریشی | 30، نومبر، 2025ء) —پاکستان ہانگ کانگ چیمبرز آف کامرس کے چیئرمین قمر زمان منہاس نے کہا ہے کہ ہانگ کانگ میں آگ جھلس جانے سے ہانگ کانگ کا بڑا نقصان ہوا متاثرہ علاقوں میں اٹھارہ سو خاندان رہائش پذیر تھے حکومت اور عوام مل کر اس بڑے حادثے سے نمٹ رہے ہیں اڑھائی سو کے قریب افراد ابھی تک لاپتہ ہیں یہ ہانگ کانگ کا ہی نہیں یہاں بسنے والے تمام افراد کا مشترکہ نقصان اور دکھ ہے ہم سب مصیبت کی اس گھڑی میں اپنے کانگ کانگ کے متاثرین کے ساتھ کھڑے ہیں انہوں نے حادثے کی صورتحال سے آگاہ کرتے ہوئے بتایا کہ یہاں تقریبا نو ٹاور تھے جن میں سے آٹھ شدید متاثر ہوئے ہیں اٹھائیس گھنٹوں بعد بھی آگ پر مکمل طور پر قابو نہ پایا جا سکا یہ یہاں کی تاریخ کا بڑا حادثہ ہے جس سے یہاں رہنے والا ہر شخص دکھی یے انہوں نے کہا کہ کہا پاکستان چیمبرز آف کامرس نے امدادی کاروائیوں کا کام شروع کردیا ہے ریلیف اور امداد کی فراہمی کا سلسلہ شروع کر دیا ہے انشاءاللہ ہم سب مل کر اس بہت جلد اس آفت سے نکل آئیں گے انہوں نے ایک سوال کے جواب میں کہا کہ المناک حادثے کے متاثرین میں کوئی پاکستانی شامل نہیں ہے۔

Chairman of Pakistan Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce, Qamar Zaman Minhas, has said that the devastating fire in Hong Kong has caused massive destruction, severely affecting the lives of residents in the impacted areas. Around 1,800 families were living in the affected buildings, and both the government and the public are working together to deal with the aftermath of this major tragedy.

He revealed that nearly 250 people are still missing, making the situation even more alarming. Minhas stated that this catastrophe is not only a loss for Hong Kong but also a shared grief for everyone living there. “In this moment of hardship, we stand firmly with all the victims of this tragedy,” he added.

Giving further details, he explained that the residential complex had nine towers, of which eight have been severely damaged. Even after 28 hours, the fire has not been fully controlled. He termed it one of the most significant disasters in Hong Kong’s recent history, leaving every resident heartbroken.

Minhas confirmed that the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce has already initiated relief operations, and the distribution of aid is underway. He expressed hope that with collective efforts, the community will soon recover from this calamity.

In response to a question, he clarified that no Pakistanis are among the victims of this tragic incident.
