Gujar Khan: School Van Driver Shot Dead in Broad Daylight Near Mandra

گوجرخان، پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام، 18 اکتوبر 2025تحصیل گوجرخان کے علاقے مندرہ میں جی ٹی روڈ پر ایک افسوسناک واقعہ پیش آیا، جہاں دن دیہاڑے ایک نجی تعلیمی ادارے کے سامنے فائرنگ کے نتیجے میں اسکول وین کا ڈرائیور قتل کر دیا گیا۔

پولیس ذرائع کے مطابق فائرنگ کا یہ واقعہ اُس وقت پیش آیا جب اسکول وین کا ڈرائیور اپنی ڈیوٹی پر موجود تھا۔ اچانک ایک مسلح شخص نے قریب آ کر اس پر فائرنگ کر دی، جس کے نتیجے میں وہ موقع پر ہی جاں بحق ہو گیا۔

مقتول کی شناخت ذیشان سفیر ولد سفیر احمد، سکنہ جاگ کے نام سے ہوئی ہے۔ فائرنگ کے بعد ملزم شجاعت، سکنہ دھیرہ موقع سے فرار ہونے میں کامیاب ہو گیا۔ پولیس نے فوری طور پر علاقے کو گھیرے میں لے لیا اور لاش کو پوسٹ مارٹم کے لیے تحصیل ہیڈکوارٹر ہسپتال گوجرخان منتقل کر دیا۔

ابتدائی اطلاعات کے مطابق قتل کی وجہ تاحال معلوم نہیں ہو سکی۔ پولیس نے ملزم کی تلاش کے لیے چھاپے مارنے شروع کر دیے ہیں، جبکہ واقعے کی مزید تفتیش جاری ہے۔

علاقہ مکینوں کے مطابق دن دیہاڑے پیش آنے والے اس واقعے سے علاقے میں خوف و ہراس پھیل گیا ہے۔ شہریوں نے انتظامیہ سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ ملزم کو جلد از جلد گرفتار کر کے انصاف کے کٹہرے میں لایا جائے۔

A tragic incident occurred in the Mandra area of Tehsil Gujar Khan on Saturday, where a school van driver was shot dead in broad daylight on the Grand Trunk (GT) Road, right in front of a private educational institution.

According to police sources, the shooting took place while the school van driver was on duty. An armed man approached and opened fire at close range, killing the driver on the spot.

The deceased was identified as Zeeshan Safeer, son of Safeer Ahmad, a resident of Jag village. Following the incident, the suspect — identified as Shujaat, a resident of Dheera — fled the scene. Police immediately cordoned off the area and shifted the body to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Gujar Khan, for post-mortem examination.

Initial investigations suggest that the motive behind the killing remains unknown. Police have launched a manhunt to apprehend the suspect and are conducting raids in different locations.

Residents of the area expressed deep concern over the broad daylight shooting, which has spread fear and panic among the local community. Citizens have urged the authorities to ensure the swift arrest of the perpetrator and deliver justice to the victim’s family.
