Rawat: Passenger Bus Catches Fire on Rawat GT Road; All Passengers Safe

روات(پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام — اکرم الحق قریشی | 17 اکتوبر 2025ء)جمعرات کی صبح راوت جی ٹی روڈ پر ایک مسافر بس میں اچانک آگ بھڑک اٹھی، تاہم خوش قسمتی سے تمام مسافر محفوظ رہے۔

تفصیلات کے مطابق راولپنڈی سے لاہور جانے والی ایک مسافر بس میں اچانک شارٹ سرکٹ کے باعث آگ لگ گئی۔ بس میں موجود مسافروں نے دھواں دیکھ کر شور مچایا تو ڈرائیور نے فوری طور پر بس سڑک کے کنارے روک دی اور تمام مسافروں کو باہر نکال لیا۔ چند ہی لمحوں میں آگ نے پوری بس کو اپنی لپیٹ میں لے لیا۔

ریسکیو 1122 کی ٹیمیں اطلاع ملتے ہی موقع پر پہنچ گئیں اور فوری کارروائی کرتے ہوئے مسافروں کو محفوظ مقام پر منتقل کیا۔ ریسکیو اہلکاروں نے طویل جدوجہد کے بعد آگ پر قابو پا لیا، تاہم بس مکمل طور پر جل کر خاکستر ہو گئی۔

ریسکیو ذرائع کے مطابق واقعے میں کسی قسم کا جانی نقصان نہیں ہوا۔ پولیس نے موقع پر پہنچ کر شواہد اکٹھے کر لیے ہیں اور ابتدائی طور پر شارٹ سرکٹ کو آگ لگنے کی وجہ قرار دیا جا رہا ہے۔

A passenger bus caught fire on Thursday morning on Rawat GT Road, but fortunately, all passengers remained safe.

According to initial reports, the bus—traveling from Rawalpindi to Lahore—caught fire due to a short circuit. Passengers noticed smoke coming from the rear section of the vehicle and immediately alerted the driver, who stopped the bus on the roadside and safely evacuated everyone. Within minutes, the flames engulfed the entire vehicle.

Rescue 1122 teams reached the scene promptly after receiving the emergency call. The rescue workers shifted the passengers to a safe location and brought the blaze under control after considerable effort. However, the bus was completely gutted by the fire.

Rescue officials confirmed that no casualties were reported in the incident. Police have collected evidence from the site, and initial investigations suggest that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit.
