Rawat: Punjab Abolishes Paper Slip System at Toll Plazas, Moves Toward Complete Digitalization

38 الیکٹرانک ٹول پلازہ پر موٹروے کی طرز پر ’ون ایپ ون سسٹم‘ رائج ہوگا,پنجاب کے تمام ٹول پلازوں پر پرچی کا نظام ختم کرنے اور مکمل ڈیجیٹلائزیشن کا فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے۔وزیراعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز شریف کی زیر صدارت ہونے والے خصوصی اجلاس میں مختلف محکموں نے ترقیاتی منصوبوں پر بریفنگ دی، جن میں ٹرانسپورٹ، تعمیرات، توانائی بچت اور شہری خوبصورتی کے منصوبے شامل تھے۔اجلاس میں بتایا گیا کہ اب 38 ٹول پلازوں پر موٹروے کی طرز پر ’’ون ایپ، ون سسٹم‘‘ متعارف کرایا جائے گا تاکہ عوام کو سہولت میسر ہو اور آمدورفت میں شفافیت اور تیزی آئے۔اجلاس میں 5 بڑی سڑکوں کی تعمیر، مرمت اور بحالی کے منصوبوں کے لئے پبلک پرائیویٹ شراکت داری کی منظوری دی گئی ہے، ان منصوبوں میں نجی ادارے کام کریں گے اور حکومت ان کے ساتھ اشتراک کرے گی، اس عمل سے اخراجات میں کمی اور کام کی رفتار میں بہتری کی توقع ہے۔اجلاس میں بتایا گیا کہ ای ٹینڈرنگ کے ذریعے پنجاب میں 40 ارب روپے کی بچت ہوئی، وزیراعلیٰ نے نئی بننے والی تمام سڑکوں پر سولر سٹریٹ لائٹس لگانے کا حکم دیا ہے تاکہ توانائی کی بچت ہو اور ماحول دوست نظام کو فروغ ملے۔
اجلاس میں لاہور کی بیوٹیفکیشن کے لئے متعدد منصوبے منظور کئے گئے ہیں، جن میں ریلوے اسٹیشن، داتا دربار، مصری شاہ، ایک موریہ، اور دو موریہ پل کی خوبصورتی اور ری ویمپنگ شامل ہیں۔
ریلوے اسٹیشن کے سامنے پارک میں فوارہ اور بچوں کے لئے منی ٹرین بھی چلائی جائے گی جبکہ اسٹیشن کے اطراف 3 کلومیٹر کے دائرے میں نئی سڑکیں اور فٹ پاتھ بھی تعمیر کئے جائیں گے۔
اجلاس میں سی اینڈ ڈبلیو اور ایل ڈی اے کے پراجیکٹس پر پیشرفت کا بھی تفصیلی جائزہ لیا گیا، بریفنگ کے مطابق حالیہ سیلاب سے متاثرہ 54 پل، 142 چھوٹے پل اور 858 سڑکیں مکمل طور پر بحال کر دی گئی ہیں،93 کلومیٹر طویل ملتان-وہاڑی روڈ کو پنجاب کی پہلی ڈسٹ فری سڑک بنایا جا رہا ہے جسے جون 2026 تک مکمل کیا جائے گا، اسی طرح قائداعظم انٹرچینج سے واہگہ بارڈر تک ٹورازم کوریڈور بھی جون تک مکمل ہو جائے گا۔
پنجاب بھر میں 5251 کلومیٹر طویل سڑکوں کے 2341 منصوبے دسمبر 2025 میں شروع ہوں گے، جنہیں جون 2026 تک مکمل کرنے کا ہدف مقرر کیا گیا ہے۔
اجلاس کو بریفنگ میں بتایا گیا کہ مری کی تمام روڈز، چکوال اور ساہیوال کی بیشتر سڑکوں کی تعمیر و مرمت کے پراجیکٹ مکمل ہوچکے ہیں۔ سی ایم پنجاب اینی شیٹیو کے تحت 10ہزار کلو میٹر سڑکوں کی تعمیر و مرمت تکمیل کے آخری مراحل میں داخل ہے۔

The Punjab government has decided to abolish the traditional paper slip system at all toll plazas and transition to a fully digitalized toll collection system.

During a special meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, officials briefed on various development projects related to transport, construction, energy conservation, and urban beautification. The meeting was informed that 38 toll plazas across Punjab will adopt a “One App, One System” model, similar to that used on the motorways, to ensure efficiency, transparency, and convenience for the public.

The meeting also approved the construction, repair, and rehabilitation of five major roads under public-private partnership. Private companies will collaborate with the government to reduce costs and improve project speed and quality.

Officials reported that through the e-tendering process, the province saved Rs. 40 billion. The Chief Minister directed that all newly constructed roads be equipped with solar-powered street lights to promote energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

Several beautification projects for Lahore were also approved, including the enhancement of areas around the Railway Station, Data Darbar, Misri Shah, Ek Moriya, and Do Moriya bridges. A fountain and a mini train for children will be installed in the park opposite the Railway Station, while new roads and sidewalks will be built within a three-kilometer radius of the station.

The meeting reviewed progress on C&W and LDA projects. According to the briefing, 54 bridges, 142 small culverts, and 858 roads damaged by recent floods have been fully restored. The 93-kilometer Multan–Vehari Road is being converted into Punjab’s first dust-free highway, scheduled for completion by June 2026. Similarly, the Tourism Corridor from Quaid-e-Azam Interchange to Wagah Border will also be completed by June 2026.

Across Punjab, 2,341 road projects covering 5,251 kilometers are set to begin in December 2025, with completion targeted for June 2026. Projects in Murree, Chakwal, and Sahiwal have already been completed, while under the CM Punjab Initiative, the construction and repair of 10,000 kilometers of roads are in their final stages.
