Sweden: 78th Pakistan Independence Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm in Gothenburg

گوھتنبرگ (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کوم — | 22,اگست، 2025):— پاکستان کا 78واں یومِ آزادی سویڈن کے شہر گوھتنبرگ میں شاندار انداز میں منایا گیا۔ اس تقریب کا اہتمام سویڈن پاکستان ویلفیئر سوسائٹی نے کیا، جس کا آغاز پرچم کشائی اور قومی ترانے سے ہوا۔ بچوں نے پریڈ پیش کی جبکہ خواتین اور بچوں سمیت بڑی تعداد میں لوگوں نے روایتی ملبوسات زیب تن کرکے شرکت کی۔

تقریب میں کھانوں، کپڑوں، مہندی اور فیس پینٹنگ کے اسٹال لگائے گئے، جنہیں شرکاء نے بھرپور دلچسپی سے دیکھا۔ بچوں نے ملی نغمے، ٹیبلو اور ڈرامے پیش کرکے حاضرین سے خوب داد سمیٹی۔ سوال و جواب کے سیشن میں بچوں کو انعامات دیے گئے۔

اس موقع پر سوی-پاک سوسائٹی کے صدر خرم کیانی نے کہا کہ دیارِ غیر میں ایسے پروگرام وطن سے محبت کو تازہ رکھتے ہیں۔ بزرگ رہنما عبدالجبار باری نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ یہ تقریبات نئی نسل کو پاکستان کے ساتھ جڑے رہنے میں مدد دیتی ہیں۔

ذوالفقار چوہدری نے کہا کہ اس سال جشنِ آزادی منانے کی اہمیت اور بھی بڑھ گئی ہے کیونکہ پاکستان نے اپنے سے کئی گنا بڑے دشمن کو ناکوں چنے چبوا دیے۔ خرم کیانی نے آئندہ بھی ایسے پروگراموں کے انعقاد کا اعلان کیا۔

تقریب کے دوران بچوں اور نوجوانوں نے “پاکستان زندہ باد” کے نعرے بلند کیے جبکہ ہر طرف پاکستانی جھنڈوں کی بہار دکھائی دے رہی تھی۔

تقریب کے مہمانِ خصوصی منہاج القرآن کے صدر نعمان شیرگڑھ تھے، جبکہ اسٹیج سیکرٹری کے فرائض محترمہ ارم کیانی نے انجام دیے۔ آخر میں منتظمین ذوالفقار چوہدری، عتیق جاوید، عظمت نور اور دیگر نے شرکاء کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔

The event, organized by the Sweden Pakistan Welfare Society, began with a flag-hoisting ceremony and the national anthem. Children participated in a parade, while a large number of families attended the celebration in traditional attire.

Colourful stalls featuring Pakistani food, clothing, henna, and face painting attracted significant attention. Children performed patriotic songs, tableaus, and short plays, earning warm applause from the audience. During a quiz session, prizes were distributed among the children.

Speaking on the occasion, Society President Khurram Kayani said such programs keep the spirit of patriotism alive among overseas Pakistanis. Veteran leader Abdul Jabbar Bari emphasised that these events help the younger generation stay connected to their homeland. Zulifqar Chaudhry highlighted the special significance of this year’s Independence Day, noting Pakistan’s resilience against its adversaries.

The event concluded with chants of “Pakistan Zindabad,” echoing throughout the venue adorned with Pakistani flags. The chief guest was Minhaj-ul-Quran President Nauman Shergarh, while stage proceedings were conducted by Ms. Erum Kayani. Organisers Zulifqar Chaudhry, Ateeq Javed, Azmat Noor, and others thanked the participants for making the event a success.
