Gujar Khan: Media Attacked at Wildlife Park During Probe into Deaths of Deer and Pregnant Lioness

گوجر خان (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کوم — اکرام الحق قریشی | 05,جولائی، 2025): وائلڈ لائف پارک کارندوں کا میڈیا پر حملہ ہرن اور شیرنی کے مرنے کی خبر کی تصدیق کے لیے میڈیا وہاں پہنچا اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر سیخ پاء ہو گیا مارنے اور کیمرا توڑنے کی دھمکیاں صحافی برادری سراپا احتجاج اعلی احکام سے فوری نوٹس لینے کا مطالبہ تفصیلات کے مطابق وفاقی دیہی علاقہ لوہی بھیر میں واقعہ وائلڈ لائف جو پنجاب گورنمنٹ کی مالکیت ہے وہاں پر نو ہرن اور حاملہ شیرنی کے مرنے کی خبریں گردش کر رہی تھی جس کی تصدیق کے لیے چیئرمین پی یو جے اور سینیئر صحافی ڈاکٹر عتیق فرہاد اپنی ٹیم کے ہمراہ وہاں پہنچے اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر سے موقف جاننے کی کوشش کی جس پر صاحب بہادر غصہ کر گئے اور میڈیا نمائندوں سے بدتمیزی شروع کر دی دیگر اہلکاروں کو بھی بلا لیا محلقہ مارکیٹ کے افراد نے بیچ بچاؤ کرایا سب سے حیرت کی بات یہ ہے کہ اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر سے باعزت طریقے سے موقف لیا گیا اور موقف لینا میڈیا کی ذمہ داری ہے اسسٹنٹ ڈائریکٹر صاحب کس بات کو چھپا رہے تھے کیوں غصہ کر گئے یہ بڑے اہم سوال ہیں کیا ہرن اور حاملہ شیرنی کے مرنے کی خبر درست ہے اگر درست ہے تو کون اس کا ذمہ دار ہے اپنی کوتاہی چھپانے کے لیے کس کس سے لڑائی کریں گے اس واقعہ پر صحافی برادری میں غم و غصہ پایا جاتا ہے اگلے لائے عمل کے لیے جلد میڈیم تنظیموں کا اجلاس بھی طلب کیا جا رہا ہے وائلڈ لائف کے اعلی افسران اور وزیراعلی پنجاب سے فوری نوٹس لینے کا مطالبہ کیا جاتا ہے بصورت دیگر صحافی برادری سخت احتجاج کریں گے

A team of journalists was reportedly harassed and threatened by staff at the federal rural Wildlife Park in Loi Bher, owned by the Punjab Government, while investigating reports of the death of nine deer and a pregnant lioness.

The incident occurred when senior journalist and Chairman of PUJ, Dr. Atiq Farhad, along with his media team, arrived at the park to verify the troubling news. When the team attempted to obtain an official statement from the Assistant Director of the park, the official became visibly agitated, allegedly misbehaved with the journalists, and called additional staff to confront them. Eyewitnesses from the nearby market intervened to de-escalate the situation.

According to the journalists, their inquiry was conducted respectfully, raising serious questions about the Assistant Director’s aggressive reaction. It remains unclear what the park authorities may be attempting to hide, whether the deaths of the animals are confirmed and who is responsible if true.

The incident has sparked outrage among the journalist community, who are calling for immediate action by senior officials of the Wildlife Department and the Chief Minister of Punjab. Media unions are planning an emergency meeting to decide the next course of action, warning of strong protests if the matter is not addressed promptly.
