Gujar Khan: Gunfight Between Two Groups in Bewal Injures Two Youths — Police Accused of Negligence

بیول، گوجرخان (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کوم، راجہ طارق ایوب – 27 مئی 2025):بیول کے مصروف اڈا چوک میں دو متحارب گروپوں کے درمیان پرانی دشمنی کے باعث ہونے والے تصادم میں فائرنگ کا تبادلہ ہوا جس کے نتیجے میں دو نوجوان شدید زخمی ہو گئے۔ واقعے نے پولیس کی مبینہ غفلت پر سنجیدہ سوالات کھڑے کر دیے ہیں۔

عینی شاہدین کے مطابق دونوں گروپوں کے درمیان تلخ کلامی کے بعد صورتحال بگڑ گئی اور بات فائرنگ تک جا پہنچی۔ گنجان آباد علاقے میں اچانک گولیوں کی آوازوں سے خوف و ہراس پھیل گیا۔

زخمی ہونے والوں میں ایک نوجوان طلحہ بھٹی شامل ہے جسے دو گولیاں لگیں۔ دوسرا زخمی ایک نویں جماعت کا طالبعلم ہے جو محض راہگزر تھا اور اتفاقاً فائرنگ کی زد میں آ گیا۔ بتایا گیا ہے کہ زخمی طالبعلم محلہ موہڑہ ہفیال کے رہائشی عثمان عرف سانو کا بھتیجا ہے۔

دونوں زخمیوں کو فوری طور پر تحصیل ہیڈ کوارٹر ہسپتال گوجرخان منتقل کیا گیا، جہاں ابتدائی طبی امداد فراہم کرنے کے بعد انہیں راولپنڈی ڈسٹرکٹ ہیڈکوارٹر ہسپتال (فوارہ چوک) ریفر کر دیا گیا۔

مقامی عوام نے پولیس پر سخت تنقید کی ہے اور کہا ہے کہ اڈا چوک جیسے حساس مقام پر پولیس کی موجودگی نہ ہونا ناقابل قبول ہے۔ شہریوں نے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ فائرنگ میں ملوث افراد کو فوری گرفتار کیا جائے اور پولیس کی کارکردگی کی مکمل تحقیقات کی جائیں۔

علاقائی عمائدین نے بھی صورتحال پر تشویش کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے قانون نافذ کرنے والے اداروں سے موثر اقدامات اٹھانے کا مطالبہ کیا ہے تاکہ مستقبل میں ایسے واقعات کی روک تھام کی جا سکے۔

A violent clash between two rival groups in the busy Adda Chowk area of Bewal left two young individuals injured as gunfire erupted due to a longstanding feud. The incident has raised serious concerns over alleged police negligence in controlling the situation.

According to eyewitnesses, the confrontation quickly escalated when members of the opposing groups exchanged heated words, leading to open gunfire in the crowded public area. One of the injured has been identified as Talha Bhatti, who sustained two bullet wounds.

The second victim was a bystander — a student of 9th grade — who was passing through the area at the time of the incident. He was unintentionally caught in the line of fire. The student is reported to be the nephew of Usman, also known as Sanoo, a resident of Mohra Hafial.

Both injured individuals were rushed to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Gujar Khan for emergency medical treatment. After receiving initial care, they were referred to the District Headquarters Hospital in Rawalpindi (Fawara Chowk) for further medical attention due to the seriousness of their injuries.

Local residents have criticised the police for their delayed response and failure to maintain law and order in a known high-tension area. They have demanded immediate action against those involved in the shooting and a thorough investigation into the police’s handling of the incident.
