London: Brave Young Boy Eyan Jaman Honoured for Saving Mother’s Life in Birmingham Emergency

London (Pothwar.com, Mohammad Naseer Raja – May 20, 2025) — On the morning of November 30 last year, young Eyan Jaman woke up to find his mother unconscious on the floor of their home in Birmingham. Despite being alone and just a child, Eyan didn’t panic. Realising something was wrong, he immediately called 999 when he couldn’t wake his mother.

Eyan calmly explained the situation to call handler Rebecca Kelly, who quickly identified it as a medical emergency and alerted the ambulance service. Although there was no immediate danger to Eyan, Rebecca kept him on the line to ensure he remained safe and reassured while emergency services were en route. Police officers were also dispatched to the address alongside the ambulance.

Upon arrival, the officers checked on Eyan’s welfare and assisted in handing over his mother to the medical team. Both Eyan and his mother were taken to hospital, where she received the urgent care she needed. Fortunately, she has since made a full recovery.

Authorities were so impressed by Eyan’s calm and responsible actions during the crisis that he was nominated for an award. In a special ceremony hosted by Chief Constable Craig Guildford, Eyan was presented with a certificate of appreciation. He also had the opportunity to meet Rebecca, the call handler who guided him through the emergency.

Eyan’s bravery and quick thinking have been widely praised, serving as an inspiring reminder of how even the youngest among us can act with courage and composure in the face of adversity.

ایان جو اپنی والدہ کے ساتھ گھر میں اکیلا تھا، گھبرایا نہیں لیکن یہ جانتے ہوئے کہ کچھ ٹھیک نہیں ہے، جب وہ والدہ کو جگا نہیں سکا تو اس نے فوراً 999 پر کال کی اور پولیس کو طلب کیا۔

ایان نے سکون سے فون پر صورتِ حال کی وضاحت کی اور کال ہینڈلر ربیکا کیلی نے جلدی سے معلوم کیا کہ یہ ایک طبی واقعہ ہے اور ایمبولینس سروس کو الرٹ کر دیا۔

اگرچہ اسے یقین تھا کہ ایان کو فوری طور پر کوئی خطرہ نہیں ہے، ربیکا اس بات کو یقینی بنانا چاہتی تھی کہ وہ محفوظ اور ٹھیک رہے، اس لیے اس نے اسے لائن پر رکھا کیونکہ جب ایمبولینس جا رہی تھی تو افسران کو اس کے پتے پر بھیجا گیا تھا۔

پولیس افسران مذکورہ پتے پر پہنچے اور ایان کی والدہ کو ایمبولینس کے عملے کے حوالے کرنے سے پہلے ایان کی فلاح و بہبود کی جانچ کی جس کے بعد اسے اور اس کی ماں کو اسپتال لے جایا گیا۔ایان کی والدہ کو وہ فوری علاج مل گیا، جس کی انہیں ضرورت تھی اور خوشی کی بات ہے کہ وہ اب صحت یاب ہو چکی ہیں۔

ایان نے صورتِ حال کو کیسے سنبھالا اس سے حکام اتنے متاثر ہوئے کہ انہوں نے اسے ایوارڈ کے لیے نامزد کیا۔چیف کانسٹیبل کریگ گلڈ فورڈ کی جانب سے منعقدہ تقریب میں ایان نے اپنا سرٹیفکیٹ وصول کیا، اس موقع پر اس کی کال ہینڈلر ربیکا سے بھی ملاقات کرائی گئی۔
