ہڈرزفیلڈ کے علاقے برقبی کی مقامی مسجد میں کمیٹی ممبران کے دو گروپوں میں مالی معاملات پر تصادم پر پولیس طلب کرلی گئی۔ پولیس نے بروقت پہنچ کر حالات کو کنٹرول کر لیا۔ ویسٹ یارکشائر پولیس کے ترجمان کے مطابق 1:30بجے پولیس کو کال کی گئی، لوکل میڈیا کے مطابق پولیس افسران نے مسجد انتظامیہ کی لڑائی کو قابو کرنے میں حصہ لیا۔ واضح رہے دو ہفتے قبل ہی ڈیزبری کی مدینہ مسجد میں اسی طرح کا واقعہ پیش آ چکا ہے، مسلم کمیونٹی نے ایسے واقعات کی شدید الفاظ میں مذمت کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ مساجد کا کنٹرول پڑے لکھے طبقے کے حوالے کیا جائے، معروف مذہبی سکالر اور سابق ممبر قومی اسمبلی ڈاکٹر شاہد نے کہا ہے کہ مساجد کا کنٹرول ان پڑھ لوگوں کے پاس ہونے کی وجہ سے آئے روز ایسے واقعات ہوتے ہیں اور ان واقعات سے مسلم کمیونٹی کی جگ ہنسائی ہوتی ہے، انہوں نے کہا کہ کتنے شرم کی بات ہے کہ اس خبر کو انگلش میڈیا میں نمایاں کوریج کے ساتھ شائع کیا گیا جس سے کمیونٹی کی بدنامی ہوئی ہے۔
Huddersfield; Police were called to stop fighting between two men in front of a packed crowd of around 1,000 worshippers at a Huddersfield masjid.
A former chairman of the committee at the Masjid Omar masjid in Blacker Road, Birkby, said worshippers had been left stunned at the incident which he said had been brewing for some time.
He said: “There are two rival factions and it all got quite heated. One of the men was in his 40s and the other in his 50s.
“A lot of people were taken aback but there has been a lot of upset of late with members wanting more transparency about what is happening there and people are annoyed at not having their voices heard.”Around eight police officers turned up and it all fizzled out very quickly.”
A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: “Police were called to Blacker Road in Huddersfield to reports of an altercation. “The two individuals are known to each other. Enquiries are ongoing.
