لندن کینن روڈ کے علاقے میں واقع مسجد کے قریب نسل پرستوں کا نمازی پر حملہ ہتھوڑا مار زخمی کر دیا گیا چشم دید گواہ کے مطابق کینن اسٹریٹ روڈ پر واقع مسجد کے قریب تین افراد پر مشتمل گروپ نے اسلام کے خلاف نازیبا کلمات کہے تینوں افراد نے نماز کے لیے آنے والے نمازیوں کو دہشتگرد کہا ۔ پولیس کے مطابق حملہ آوروں نے ایک ستائیس سالہ شخص کو ہتھوڑے کے وار سے زخمی کر دیا ۔ حملہ آور واقعہ کے بعد فرار ہوگئے ۔ زخمی شخص کو طبی امداد کے بعد ہسپتال سے فارغ کر دیا گیا ۔ نیوزی لینڈ مساجد میں ہونے والے حملے کے بعد برطانیہ کی مختلف مساجد کے باہر پولیس کی نفری تعینات رہی ۔
London; A man gong for Friday prayers was attacked with a “hammer” outside an East London masjid, just hours after the terrorist attack in two New Zealand masjids.
Police said the victim is a 27-year-old, who suffered head injuries.
Eyewitnesses said the attackers were a group of three men, who shouted Islamophobic slurs as they drove past the masjid on Cannon Street Road.
They were calling people who came for the Friday prayers “terrorists,” witnesses added.
Some of the worshippers tried to pursue them, which prompted two of the men to attack them with what is thought to be a hammer. After the attack, they dove into a moving car and drove off.
London police have so far been unable to detain anyone.
The attack comes less than a day after the worst terrorist attack in New Zealand, and one of the worst anti-Muslim attacks in recent memory, leaving 49 dead and scores grievously injured.
In the wake of the New Zealand attack, London police asked mosques to be on high alert against similar attacks.
