سابق وزیراعظم راجہ پرویز اشرف کیخلاف رینٹل پاور پروجیکٹ میں بڑی پیش رفت ,مقدمے میں ملزم اور ساہیوال ملتان رینٹل پاور پروجیکٹ منیجر رانا امجد سابق وزیراعظم راجہ پرویز اشرف کیخلاف وعدہ معاف گواہ بن گئے جب کہ نیب نے راجہ پرویز کیخلاف ضمنی ریفرنس دائر کرنے کا بھی فیصلہ کیا ہے۔نیب نے احتساب عدالت میں رانا امجد کو گواہوں کی فہرست میں شامل کرنے کی درخواست دائر کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ رانا امجد کو ملزمان کی فہرست سے نکال کر گواہوں میں شامل کیا جائے۔ عدالت نے نیب کی درخواست منظور کرلی۔ عدالت نے نیب کو آئندہ سماعت تک ضمنی ریفرنس دائر کرنے کی ہدایت بھی کی۔ رانا امجد اس مقدمے کے ملزمان میں شامل تھے اور وعدہ معاف گواہ بننے کے بعد اب وہ استغاثہ کے گواہ بن گئے ہیں۔رینٹل پاور کیس میں پیپلز پارٹی کے رہنما راجہ پرویز اشرف سمیت تمام ملزمان پر سابق وزیراعظم یوسف رضا گیلانی کے دور میں کرپشن اور عہدے کا غلط استعمال کرنے کے الزام ہے۔ راجہ پرویز اشرف نے بطور وفاقی وزیر برائے پانی و بجلی کرائے کے بجلی گھروں کے منصوبوں کی منظوری دی تھی جس سے قومی خزانے کو اربوں روپے کا نقصان پہنچا۔
Gujar Khan; The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has reported a major development in rental power project case against former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf. Former Sahiwal Multan Rental Power Project manager Rana Amjad has accepted to be an approver in the case against former prime minister Rana Pervez Ashraf, the bureau told the court.
The accountability court accepted a request of the NAB to add Rana Amjad as a witness in the case.The NAB had pleaded to the court to delete the name of Rana Amjad from the list of accused and add him in the witnesses’ list. The NAB has also decided to file a supplementary reference against Raja Pervez Ashraf.
The accountability court has directed the bureau to file the supplementary reference against former premier Ashraf till the next hearing of the case. Pervez Ashraf served as 19th prime minister of Pakistan from 22 June 2012 until completing his designated term on 16 March 2013 in the government of Pakistan People’s Party.
The bureau investigated all 12 RPPs and filed references in cases, including Turkish ship-mounted power plant (Karkey), Piranghaib in Multan, Sahiwal in Sialkot, Guddu in Sindh, Naudero-II in Sindh, Naudero-I in Sindh, Reshma Power Generation in Raiwind, Young Gen Power Ltd, Bhikki in Sheikhupura, Gulf Rental Power Pvt Ltd and 150MW Sharaqpur RPP, in the accountability court, Islamabad.
