Gujar Khan: Traders and Citizens Stage Historic Protest Against “Unjust Levy Tax”

گوجرخان: 04ستمبر 2026 (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام —غیر قانونی اور غیر آئینی قرار دیے جانے والے لیوی ٹیکس کے خلاف گوجرخان میں تاجروں اور شہریوں کی بڑی تعداد نے بھرپور احتجاج کیا۔ مظاہرین نے بڑھتی ہوئی مہنگائی، بھاری ٹیکسز اور عوام پر بڑھتے ہوئے معاشی بوجھ کے خلاف شدید تشویش کا اظہار کیا۔

جماعت اسلامی کے ضلعی امیر راجہ محمد جواد نے احتجاج میں تاجروں، شہریوں اور مختلف طبقات کی بڑی تعداد میں شرکت پر اہل گوجرخان کا شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے مطالبہ کیا کہ عوام پر عائد اس ظلم پر مبنی ٹیکس کو فوری طور پر ختم کیا جائے۔

احتجاجی اجتماع سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے راجہ محمد جواد نے کہا کہ پٹرول پر فی لیٹر 135 روپے کا بھاری ٹیکس عوام کے ساتھ کھلم کھلا ظلم ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ پہلے ہی مہنگائی اور روزمرہ اشیائے ضروریہ کی بڑھتی ہوئی قیمتوں نے عام آدمی کی زندگی مشکل بنا دی ہے، جبکہ مزید ٹیکسز نے عوام اور کاروباری طبقے کی مشکلات میں اضافہ کر دیا ہے۔

راجہ محمد جواد نے جماعت اسلامی کے امیر حافظ نعیم الرحمٰن کو بھی خراجِ تحسین پیش کیا اور کہا کہ انہوں نے کروڑوں پاکستانیوں میں عوامی شعور بیدار کرنے اور مہنگائی کے خلاف توانا آواز بلند کرنے کا سلسلہ جاری رکھا ہوا ہے۔

انہوں نے اس عزم کا اظہار کیا کہ عوام کے بنیادی اور جائز حقوق کے حصول کے لیے جدوجہد جاری رکھی جائے گی۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ عوامی مسائل کے حل اور معاشی مشکلات کے خاتمے کے لیے تمام طبقات کو متحد ہو کر پُرامن اور مؤثر انداز میں اپنی آواز بلند کرنا ہوگی۔

مظاہرین کے مطابق احتجاج کا مقصد بھاری ٹیکسز اور مہنگائی کے خلاف عوامی ردِعمل کو اجاگر کرنا اور حکومت سے مطالبہ کرنا تھا کہ عام شہریوں کو معاشی ریلیف فراہم کیا جائے۔ شرکاء نے اضافی ٹیکسوں کے خاتمے اور عوام کی قوتِ خرید کے تحفظ کے لیے مؤثر اقدامات کا مطالبہ کیا۔

Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com, September 04, 2026):  A large number of traders and citizens staged a major protest in Gujar Khan against what they described as an illegal and unconstitutional levy tax, raising their voices against rising inflation and the growing financial burden on the public.

Jamaat-e-Islami District Emir Raja Muhammad Jawad expressed his gratitude to the people of Gujar Khan for their large-scale participation in the protest and demanded the immediate withdrawal of what he termed an unjust and burdensome tax.

Addressing the gathering, Raja Muhammad Jawad said that imposing a tax of Rs135 per litre on petrol amounted to blatant injustice against the people. He said the rising cost of essential commodities and additional taxation had placed an unbearable financial burden on ordinary citizens and the business community.

He praised Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman for raising public awareness among millions of Pakistanis and for continuing to speak strongly against inflation and policies that, according to the party, are adversely affecting the common man.

Raja Muhammad Jawad reaffirmed that the struggle for the fundamental rights of the people would continue until their legitimate demands were addressed. He urged traders, citizens and all sections of society to remain united and peaceful in raising their voices against measures that increase the economic hardships faced by the public.

The protest was described by the organisers as a significant expression of public resentment over taxation and the rising cost of living. Participants called for relief from excessive taxes and demanded measures aimed at protecting the purchasing power of ordinary citizens.
