Gujar Khan: Body of Dera Muslim Youth Who Drowned in Ogahoon Dam Three Weeks Ago Surfaces

مقامی ذرائع کے مطابق، لاش بغیر کسی بیرونی مداخلت کے خود بخود ڈیم کی سطح پر آ گئی، جسے سب سے پہلے ڈیم کے قریب رہائش پذیر لوگوں نے دیکھا۔ لاش نظر آتے ہی مقامی افراد نے فوری طور پر ریسکیو 1122 کو اطلاع دی، جنہوں نے موقع پر پہنچ کر لاش کو باہر نکالا۔

یہ بات قابل ذکر ہے کہ اورنگزیب کی تلاش کے لیے بڑے پیمانے پر کوششیں کی گئی تھیں۔ ریسکیو 1122 کی ٹیموں کے ساتھ ساتھ منگلا ڈیم سے آئے ہوئے غوطہ خوروں نے بھی کئی روز تک ڈیم اور اس کے اطراف میں تلاش جاری رکھی، مگر لاش کا سراغ نہ مل سکا تھا۔

یہ افسوسناک واقعہ دیرہ مسلم کی بستی پر غم کا سایہ چھوڑ گیا ہے، جہاں اورنگزیب کو بہت عزت اور محبت کی نگاہ سے دیکھا جاتا تھا۔ حکام اس وقت ضروری قانونی کارروائی مکمل کر رہے ہیں، جس کے بعد لاش ورثاء کے حوالے کر دی جائے گی تاکہ تدفین کی جا سکے۔

Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com – May 19, 2025) — In a tragic turn of events, the body of a young man from Dera Muslim, who had drowned in the Ogahoon Dam nearly three weeks ago, was discovered on Wednesday morning. The deceased has been identified as Aurangzeb, who had been missing since the incident.

According to local sources, the body surfaced on the water’s surface without any external intervention and was first spotted by residents living near the dam. Upon noticing the floating body, the locals immediately informed Rescue 1122, who arrived promptly at the scene and retrieved the body.

It is worth noting that extensive efforts had been made to locate Aurangzeb’s body following his drowning. Rescue 1122 teams, along with divers from Mangla Dam, had conducted a multi-day search operation in and around the dam. Despite their tireless efforts, the body had remained untraceable until today.

The tragic incident has cast a pall of sorrow over the Dera Muslim community, where Aurangzeb was well known and loved. Authorities are currently completing formal procedures before handing over the body to the family for burial.
