Gujar Khan: Stagnant Water on Bewal-Gujar Khan Road Causes Severe Inconvenience

گوجر خان – (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام، راجہ طارق ایوب,12, جولائی، 2024)—بیول گوجرخان روڈ میرہ شمس کے مقام پر نکاسی آب بند ہونے سے ایک بہت بڑے تالاب کا منظر پیش کر رہی ہے۔موٹر سائیکل سوار، راہگیر اور گاڑیوں کو گزرنے میں سخت دقت پیش آتی ہے۔ بیول سے گوجرخان جانے والی روڈ پر میرہ شمس گاؤں کے مقام پر سڑک کے دائیں اور بائیں جانب والی زرعی زمینوں کے مالکان نے اپنے کھیتوں میں مٹی کی بھرائی کر کے کھیتوں کا لیول سڑک سے اونچا کر لیا ہے جس سے سڑک کے ساتھ بنی نالی بند ہو گئی اور پانی کی نکاسی نہ ہونے سے پانی سڑک پر اکٹھا ہو کر رک جاتا ہے جس سے ایک بہت بڑا تالاب بن جاتا ہے۔گاؤں میرہ شمس کی آبادی کے گھروں اور گلیوں کا سارا پانی اسی جانب بہتا ہے کیونکہ یہ نشیبی علاقہ ہے لیکن سڑک پر آ کر رکاوٹ ہونے کی وجہ سے سارا پانی رک جاتا ہے مزید بارش کے موسم میں پانی گہرا ہو کر ایک بہت بڑے تالاب کا منظر پیش کرتا ہے۔ جس سے بیول سے گوجرخان جانے والی پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ،موٹرسائیکل سوار، راہگیر، چھوٹی گاڑیوں، عورتوں، بچوں، بوڑھوں کو گزرنے میں سخت دشواری پیش آتی ہے۔جبکہ گاؤں کی گلیوں کا گندا پانی سڑک پر اکٹھا ہونے سے مچھر اور بدبو بھی ہوتی ہے جس سے ڈینگی بخار اور دیگر بیماریاں پھیلنے کا خدشہ ہے۔علاقہ کی عوام نے اعلی حکام، اسسٹنٹ کمشنر گوجرخان، تحصیل دار،ڈپٹی ڈسٹرکٹ ہیلتھ آفیسر، محکمہ شاہراہ سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ وہ اس مسئلے کا فی الفور نوٹس لیں اور پانی کی نکاسی کا بندوبست کیا جائے۔

Gujar Khan – (Pothwar.com, Raja Tariq Ayub, July 12, 2024) – The Bewal-Gujar Khan road at the location of Maira Shamas is presenting the scene of a large pond due to blocked drainage. Motorcyclists, pedestrians, and vehicles are facing significant difficulties in passing through.

At the village of Maira Shamas, landowners have raised the level of their agricultural fields on both sides of the road by filling them with soil, making them higher than the road. This has blocked the drainage ditch along the road, causing water to accumulate on the road and creating a large pool.

The water from the homes and streets of Maira Shamas village flows towards this area because it is a low-lying region. However, due to the obstruction on the road, all the water gets trapped, especially during the rainy season, forming a large pond. This causes severe difficulties for public transport, motorcyclists, pedestrians, small vehicles, women, children, and the elderly travelling from Bewal to Gujar Khan.

Additionally, the accumulation of dirty water from the village streets on the road results in mosquitoes and foul odour, posing a risk of dengue fever and other diseases.

The local residents have called upon higher authorities, including the Assistant Commissioner of Gujar Khan, Tehsildar, Deputy District Health Officer, and the Department of Highways, to urgently address this issue and ensure proper drainage of the water.
