Birmingham: Mohammad Mumtaz who helped his family murder his pregnant wife believing she was possessed by an evil spirit jinn is denied parole

محمد توصیف ممتاز جس نے بعد میں دعویٰ کیا کہ ان کی بیوی نائلہ، 21، نے اپنا دم گھٹا لیا تھا – اس کے والدین، ضیاء الحق اور سلمیٰ اسلم، دونوں 51، اور ان کے بہنوئی حماد حسن کو 2012 میں جیل بھیج دیا گیا تھا۔
ان چاروں میں سے ایک نے نالیہ ممتاز کو دبایا جبکہ دوسرے نے اسے اپنے جسم سے ‘جنوں’ کی روح کو نکالنے کی کوشش میں دبا کر رکھا۔ برمنگھم کراؤن کورٹ کو الگ تھلگ نوجوان خاتون کے قتل کا بتایا گیا تھا، جو 2008 میں پاکستان میں طے شدہ شادی کے بعد برطانیہ پہنچی تھی،
پیرامیڈیکس کو 8 جولائی 2009 کی اولین ساعتوں میں اس کی بے جان لاش گھر کے ایک بیڈروم میں ملی جس کا خاندان کریتھورن ایونیو، ہینڈز ورتھ ووڈ، برمنگھم میں رہتا تھا۔ اسے ہسپتال میں مردہ قرار دیا گیا۔

London: (Pothwar.com, Mohammad Naseer Raja, 19, September 2023) —A husband who helped his warped family murder his six-month pregnant wife, because they believed she was possessed by an evil spirit, has been refused parole.

Mohammed Tauseef Mumtaz – who later claimed his wife Naila, 21, had suffocated herself – his parents, Zia Ul-Haq and Salma Aslam, both 51, and his brother-in-law Hammad Hassan were all jailed in 2012.

One of the four smothered Nalia Mumtaz while the others held her down, apparently in an attempt to drive out the ‘jinn’ spirit from her body. Birmingham Crown Court was told the murder of the isolated young woman, who had arrived in the UK in 2008 after an arranged marriage in Pakistan, had been instigated by Mumtaz’s parents.

Paramedics found her lifeless body in a bedroom of the house the family all lived at in Craythorne Avenue, Handsworth Wood, Birmingham, in the early hours of 8 July 2009. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
