Gujar Khan: Reconstruction of Daultala–Gujar Khan Road Begins, Locals Express Satisfaction

گوجرخان (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام, | 27 اکتوبر 2025) –دولتالہ تا گوجرخان سڑک کی تعمیر و بحالی کا کام باقاعدہ طور پر شروع کر دیا گیا۔ عرصہ دراز سے خستہ حالی کا شکار یہ سڑک علاقے کے عوام کے لیے شدید مشکلات کا باعث بنی ہوئی تھی۔ سڑک پر جگہ جگہ گڑھے، ٹوٹ پھوٹ اور دھول مٹی کے باعث نہ صرف ٹریفک کی روانی متاثر ہو رہی تھی بلکہ روزانہ درجنوں حادثات پیش آتے رہے۔

تفصیلات کے مطابق محکمہ شاہرات (ہائی وے ڈیپارٹمنٹ) کی زیر نگرانی ٹھیکیدار نے مشینری کے ساتھ سڑک کی کھدائی اور مرمت کا عمل شروع کر دیا ہے۔ ابتدائی مرحلے میں دولتالہ بازار سے موضع میانہ کنجال تک سڑک کی توسیع اور نیا بیس لیئر بچھانے کا کام جاری ہے۔ بعد ازاں یہ کام گوجرخان تک مرحلہ وار مکمل کیا جائے گا۔

علاقہ مکینوں، تاجروں اور ٹرانسپورٹرز نے تعمیراتی کام کے آغاز پر خوشی کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ سڑک تحصیل گوجرخان کی ایک اہم شاہراہ ہے جو روزانہ ہزاروں گاڑیوں کے استعمال میں آتی ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ برسوں سے یہ سڑک کھنڈرات کا منظر پیش کر رہی تھی جس کی بحالی اہلِ علاقہ کا دیرینہ مطالبہ تھا۔

علاقے کے سیاسی و سماجی رہنماؤں نے بھی منصوبے کے آغاز کا خیر مقدم کیا اور حکومت پنجاب، محکمہ شاہرات اور منتخب نمائندوں کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ سڑک کی تعمیر سے نہ صرف آمد و رفت میں آسانی پیدا ہوگی بلکہ تجارتی و معاشی سرگرمیوں میں بھی اضافہ ہوگا۔علاقہ عوام نے امید ظاہر کی ہے کہ یہ منصوبہ جلد از جلد مکمل ہوگا تاکہ طویل عرصے سے درپیش سفری مشکلات کاخاتمہ ممکن بنایا جا سکے۔

Gujar Khan (Pothwar.com | October 27, 2025) – The long-awaited reconstruction and repair work on the Daultala–Gujar Khan road has officially begun. The road had been in a state of disrepair for many years, causing severe inconvenience to local residents. Numerous potholes, damaged sections, and constant dust not only disrupted smooth traffic flow but also contributed to frequent accidents.

According to details, under the supervision of the Highway Department, contractors have started excavation and repair work with heavy machinery. In the first phase, road expansion and a new base layer are being laid from Daultala Bazaar to Miana Kanjal village. The project will gradually extend to Gujar Khan in subsequent phases.

Residents, traders, and transporters have expressed joy over the commencement of the project, noting that the Daultala–Gujar Khan road is a vital route used by thousands of vehicles daily. They said the road had been in ruins for years, and its restoration was a long-standing demand of the community.

Local political and social leaders also welcomed the start of the project and thanked the Punjab government, the Highway Department, and elected representatives for addressing the public’s long-pending demand. They stated that the reconstruction will not only improve travel convenience but also boost commercial and economic activities in the region.

Citizens have expressed hope that the project will be completed soon to bring an end to the prolonged travel difficulties faced by commuters.
