Renowned teacher and former President of the Punjab Teachers Union Kallar Syedan, Shafiq Bhatti, has retired after completing his term of service.
A farewell ceremony was held in his honor at Government Primary School Mahira Sanghal, attended by a large number of educationists, union representatives, and community members.
Prominent participants included Deputy District Education Officer Daud Akhtar Kayani, Retired Assistant Commissioner Raja Zahid Hussain, Khalid Mehmood Mirza, Numberdar Raja Zulfiqar Ali (Chairman, Numberdar Association District Rawalpindi), Chaudhry Asad-ur-Rehman Advocate, Malik Sabir Awan (Vice President, PTU District Rawalpindi), Malik Irshad Sultan (President, APECA District Rawalpindi), Raja Yasir Aziz (Member, SMC Committee), and Chaudhry Rasheed Akhtar (Senior Headmaster), among others.
Speakers lauded Shafiq Bhatti’s educational and organisational contributions, describing him as a hardworking and devoted teacher who not only focused on academics but also emphasised the moral and character development of his students. Owing to his dedication, his students consistently achieved top positions in various educational competitions.
In his address, Shafiq Bhatti expressed gratitude to Allah Almighty for granting him strength and guidance throughout his career. He said that his priorities had always been centered on the ideology of Islam and Pakistan, which guided his professional journey from beginning to end.
