Libya: Two Young Men from Gujar Khan Die in Boat Accident

لیبیا / گوجرخان (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام – 17 جون 2025)–لیبیا کے ساحل کے قریب ایک افسوسناک واقعہ پیش آیا جہاں غیر قانونی تارکین وطن کی کشتی بحیرہ روم میں الٹ گئی۔ اس سانحے میں متعدد افراد جان کی بازی ہار گئے، جن میں گوجرخان سے تعلق رکھنے والے دو نوجوان بھی شامل ہیں۔ جاں بحق ہونے والوں کی شناخت چوہدری بلال، سکنہ بوچھیال، اور حمزہ، رہائشی ڈھوک کشمیریاں (اندرون بوچھیال)، کے طور پر ہوئی ہے۔

موصولہ اطلاعات کے مطابق یہ نوجوان انسانی اسمگلروں کے ذریعے ایک غیر قانونی سمندری راستے سے اٹلی جانے کی کوشش کر رہے تھے۔ کشتی میں مختلف ممالک سے تعلق رکھنے والے افراد سوار تھے، اور یہ کشتی گنجائش سے کہیں زیادہ بھری ہوئی تھی۔ خراب موسم اور تیز لہروں کے باعث کشتی راستے میں ہی الٹ گئی۔ ریسکیو ٹیموں نے کچھ افراد کو بچا لیا، تاہم کئی قیمتی جانیں ضائع ہو گئیں، جن میں یہ دونوں پاکستانی نوجوان بھی شامل ہیں جنہوں نے یورپ میں بہتر مستقبل کے خواب دیکھے تھے۔

اس افسوسناک خبر نے گوجرخان کے مقامی حلقوں میں غم و غصے کی لہر دوڑا دی ہے۔ سوگوار خاندانوں، رشتہ داروں اور اہلِ علاقہ میں شدید دکھ اور صدمہ پایا جاتا ہے۔ متاثرہ خاندانوں نے حکومت پاکستان سے فوری اور سخت کارروائی کا مطالبہ کیا ہے تاکہ ایسے غیر قانونی اور جان لیوا ہجرت کے دھندے میں ملوث انسانی اسمگلنگ نیٹ ورکس اور ایجنٹوں کو کیفرِ کردار تک پہنچایا جائے۔

انسانی اسمگلنگ میں ملوث مافیا اور خود ساختہ ایجنٹ کئی برسوں سے نوجوانوں کو جھوٹے خواب دکھا کر ان کا استحصال کر رہے ہیں۔ یہ غیر قانونی نیٹ ورکس خطرناک سمندری راستوں کا استعمال کرتے ہیں جو اب تک بے شمار جانیں نگل چکے ہیں۔

مقامی سماجی رہنماؤں، کارکنوں اور سیاسی شخصیات نے بھی ان خاندانوں کی حمایت کرتے ہوئے حکومت سے مطالبہ کیا ہے کہ ان مجرم عناصر کے خلاف ملک گیر سطح پر کریک ڈاؤن کیا جائے اور ایسے جرائم کی روک تھام کے لیے سخت قوانین پر عمل درآمد کروایا جائے۔

ایک بزرگ سماجی شخصیت نے کہا:
“یہ المیہ صرف دو خاندانوں کا نہیں بلکہ پوری قوم کا مسئلہ ہے۔ اگر فوری اور مؤثر اقدامات نہ کیے گئے تو مزید نوجوان سمندر کی نذر ہو جائیں گے۔”

غم زدہ خاندانوں نے حکومت سے اپیل کی ہے کہ وہ ان کے بیٹوں کی میتوں کی وطن واپسی میں مدد کرے اور اس مشکل وقت میں نفسیاتی و مالی مدد بھی فراہم کرے۔

یہ دل دہلا دینے والا واقعہ ایک بار پھر اس تلخ حقیقت کو اجاگر کرتا ہے کہ غیر قانونی ہجرت کے پیچھے بے روزگاری، مواقع کی کمی اور مجرمانہ نیٹ ورکس کا استحصال کارفرما ہیں۔ جب تک ان بنیادی وجوہات کا سدباب نہیں کیا جاتا، تب تک یہ ہلاکت خیز سلسلہ جاری رہنے کا خدشہ ہے۔

The deceased have been identified as Chaudhry Bilal, a resident of Bouchial, and Hamza, hailing from Dhok Kashmiriyaan (Inner Bouchial).

According to reports, the victims were attempting to reach Italy via an illegal sea route organised by human traffickers. The overcrowded vessel, carrying migrants from various countries, faced harsh sea conditions and overturned before it could reach its destination. Rescue operations managed to save some passengers, but several lives were lost in the deep waters, including the two Pakistani youths who had dreamed of building a better future in Europe.

The tragic news has sent shockwaves through the local communities of Gujar Khan. Grief and anger prevail as families and social circles mourn the untimely deaths of their loved ones. The affected families are now demanding justice and have called on the Government of Pakistan to take immediate and decisive action against the human trafficking networks and agents responsible for these illegal and dangerous migrations.

Human trafficking mafias and so-called travel “agents” have long been accused of exploiting vulnerable youth by promising them false hopes of prosperity abroad. These illegal networks often use perilous sea routes that have claimed countless lives over the years.

Local community leaders, social activists, and political figures have joined the bereaved families in urging the authorities to crack down on these criminal elements. They are calling for a national-level campaign against human smuggling and for stringent laws to be enforced against those facilitating such illegal activities.

“This is not just a tragedy for two families — it is a national crisis,” said a community elder. “If strong and immediate action is not taken, more young lives will be lost to the sea.”

The grieving families have also appealed to the government to assist in repatriating the bodies of their sons and provide them with psychological and financial support during this difficult time.
