وزیر اعظم کا نائلہ کیانی کو کانچن جنگا سر کرنے پر خراجِ تحسین
گوجر خان (پوٹھوارڈاٹ کام – 31 مئی 2025): وزیر اعظم پاکستان نے گوجر خان سے تعلق رکھنے والی معروف کوہ پیما نائلہ کیانی کی شاندار کامیابی پر انہیں زبردست خراج تحسین پیش کیا ہے۔ نائلہ کیانی نے دنیا کی تیسری بلند ترین چوٹی، ماؤنٹ کانچن جنگا کو سر کر کے ایک اور کارنامہ انجام دیا ہے۔
وزیر اعظم ہاؤس سے جاری بیان میں وزیر اعظم نے نائلہ کیانی کو دلی مبارکباد دیتے ہوئے ان کے حوصلے، استقامت اور کوہ پیمائی سے وابستگی کو سراہا۔ انہوں نے کہا، “نائلہ کیانی نے ایک بار پھر پاکستان کا نام دنیا بھر میں روشن کیا ہے۔ ان کی کامیابی نوجوانوں، خصوصاً پاکستانی خواتین کے لیے ایک مشعل راہ ہے۔”
ماؤنٹ کانچن جنگا، جس کی بلندی 8,586 میٹر (28,169 فٹ) ہے، نیپال اور بھارتی ریاست سکم کی سرحد پر واقع ہے۔ یہ چوٹی اپنی تکنیکی پیچیدگی اور خطرناک موسمی حالات کی وجہ سے دنیا کی مشکل ترین 8,000 میٹر بلند چوٹیوں میں شمار ہوتی ہے۔
نائلہ کیانی کی یہ کامیابی ان کے کوہ پیمائی کے کیریئر میں ایک اور تاریخی سنگ میل ہے۔ وہ اس سے قبل کے ٹو، ایورسٹ، اناپورنا اور لوٹسے جیسی بلند چوٹیوں کو بھی سر کر چکی ہیں، اور اب وہ پاکستان کی مہم جوئی کی دنیا میں ایک ممتاز مقام رکھتی ہیں۔
وزیر اعظم نے ان کے کارنامے کو خواتین کے لیے امید کی کرن قرار دیا اور کہا کہ نائلہ کیانی کی مسلسل کامیابیاں اس بات کا ثبوت ہیں کہ پاکستانی خواتین کسی بھی شعبے میں کامیابی حاصل کر سکتی ہیں اگر انہیں مواقع فراہم کیے جائیں۔
حکومت نے ایک بار پھر کھیلوں اور مہم جو سیاحت کے فروغ کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا اور کہا کہ ایسے کھلاڑیوں کو ہر ممکن تعاون فراہم کیا جائے گا جو بین الاقوامی سطح پر پاکستان کا نام روشن کرتے ہیں۔
سوشل میڈیا پر بھی نائلہ کیانی کی کامیابی کو بھرپور پذیرائی ملی، جہاں عوام، دیگر کوہ پیماؤں، مشہور شخصیات اور مختلف شعبہ ہائے زندگی سے تعلق رکھنے والے افراد نے ان کے جذبے کو سراہا۔
نائلہ کیانی، جو کہ ایک ماں اور ایرواسپیس انجینئر بھی ہیں، نے قوم کی جانب سے ملنے والی پذیرائی پر شکریہ ادا کرتے ہوئے اپنی کامیابی پاکستانی عوام، بالخصوص ان لڑکیوں کے نام کی جو بڑے خواب دیکھتی ہیں۔

Her achievement is a beacon of inspiration for the youth, especially women across Pakistan,” the Prime Minister stated.
Mount Kanchenjunga, towering at 8,586 meters (28,169 feet), is located in the eastern Himalayas on the border between Nepal and the Indian state of Sikkim. It is known for its technical difficulty and treacherous weather conditions, making it one of the most dangerous 8000-meter peaks to climb.
Kiani’s successful ascent of Kanchenjunga marks another historic milestone in her mountaineering career. She is already celebrated for being one of the few Pakistani women to have scaled multiple 8,000-meter peaks, including K2, Everest, Annapurna, and Lhotse. With this latest feat, she further cements her place as a leading figure in Pakistan’s adventure sports community.
The Prime Minister emphasised the significance of her accomplishment in reshaping perceptions about women’s roles in extreme sports. “Naila’s unwavering spirit and continuous success challenge stereotypes and show that Pakistani women can excel in any field they set their minds to,” he said.
The government also reiterated its commitment to promoting sports and adventure tourism in Pakistan, pledging continued support for athletes like Kiani who bring international recognition to the country.
Social media has been abuzz with tributes to Kiani, with thousands of Pakistanis, including fellow climbers, celebrities, and public figures, celebrating her triumph.
Naila Kiani, who is also a mother and an aerospace engineer by profession, expressed her gratitude for the nationwide support and dedicated her climb to the people of Pakistan, particularly young girls aspiring to dream big.
“This is not just my victory, but a victory for every Pakistani woman who dares to break boundaries,” she said in a message from base camp after the summit.
