برمنگھم؛ (نمائندہ پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کوم ,محمد نصیر راجہ12 دسمبر2021ء)— برمنگھم سے تعلق رکھنے والے دو ٹیکسی ڈرائیور بھائیوں کو جیل کی سزا سنائی گئی ہے جب پولیس نے ان کی کاروں میں تقریباً 300,000 پونڈ کی رقم پائی تھی۔مانچسٹر کراؤن کورٹ نے سنا کہ افسران نے عرفان ظفر کے ووکس ویگن پولو میں سیاہ جے ڈی اسپورٹس بیگ میں149,945پونڈ دریافت کیا۔ انہیں سعود ظفر کے سکوڈا کے بوٹ میں ایک سیل بند پیکج میں 138,475پونڈ بھی ملے۔پولیس نے یہ انکشاف دونوں بھائیوں کو M62 پرپکڑا گیا، ان کی گاڑیوں کی تلاشی لی گئی اور رقم برآمد ہوئی۔ جس کی مالیت £288,420 تھی۔ جب ان سے انٹرویو کیا گیا تو انہوں نے اپنی گاڑیوں میں موجود نقدی کا ذریعہ بتانے سے انکار کر دیا۔ عرفان اور سعود ظفر دونوں نے 8 جون 2021 کو مجرمانہ کا اعتراف کیا۔ برمنگھم کے رہنے والے 40 سالہ عرفان ظفر اور 34 سالہ سعود ظفر کو 22 ماہ کے لیے جیل بھیج دیا گیا۔
Birmingham; Two taxi driver brothers from Birmingham have received prison sentences after police found nearly £300,000 of dirty money in their cars.
Manchester Crown Court heard that officers discovered £149,945 in a black JD Sports bag in Irfan Zaffar’s Volkswagen Polo. They also found £138,475 in a sealed package in the boot of Saud Zaffar’s Skoda.
Police made the discovery after the two brothers were pulled over on the M62, Their vehicles were searched and the dirty money was found. The haul was worth £288,420.
The pair were arrested but when they were interviewed, they refused to explain the source of the cash they had in their vehicles. Irfan and Saud Zaffar both pleaded guilty to transferring criminal property on June 8, 2021.
Irfan Zaffar, aged 40, and Saud Zaffar, aged 34, both of Hodge Hill, Birmingham, were each jailed for 22 months.
