لندن میں سرکاری اعلان کے مطابق اسلا موفوبیا کے درست تشریح کے لئے ایک آزاد مشیر کا تقرر عمل میں لایا گیا ہے۔کمیونیٹیز سیکریٹری جیمز بروکن شائر کے مطابق اینٹی مسلم ہیٹرڈ گروپ کے چئیرمین امام قاری عاصم کا یہ کام تفویض کیا گیا ہے کہ مسلمانوں کے خلاف ہونے والے نفرت انگیز واقعات کی کمی کے حوالے سے حکومت کے ساتھ مل کر کام کریں ان کا کہنا تھا کہ حکومت کی یہ دلی خواہش ہے کہ مسلمانوں کے خلاف ہونے والے نفرت انگیز اور امتیازی سلوک کو روکا جا سکے۔
امام عاصم کا کہنا تھا کہ موجودہ وقت میں جب مسلمانوں کے خلاف واقعات میں دن بدن اضافہ ہو رہا ہے اس میں اسلاموفوبیا کی درست تشریح کی جانی چاہئیے۔ ان کا کہنا تھا کہ وہ تمام مسلم کمیونیٹیز ، علما اور مختلف مکاتب فکر لوگوں کے ساتھ مل کر کام کریں گے۔ اور حکومت کی جانب سے اس مقصد کے لئے منتخب کیے جانے پر فخر محسوس کرتے ہیں۔ ان کی کوشش ہو گی کہ وہ اپنے کام کے نتیجے میں ایسی تجاویز مہیا کر سکیں جو مستقبل میں برطانوی مسلمانوں کے خلاف ہونے والے واقعات میں کمی لانے کا سبب بن سکیں۔
London; An independent adviser has been appointed by the Government to propose a definition of Islamophobia.
Imam Qari Asim, deputy chairman of the Anti-Muslim Hatred Working Group, will carry out the task, Communities Secretary James Brokenshire said.
The Cabinet minister said: “The Government is wholeheartedly committed to ensuring that Muslims are not targeted for hatred, persecution or discrimination.
“Imam Asim’s appointment marks a further step in helping us to achieve that goal and ensures that we develop an effective definition of Islamophobia which commands widespread support.”
Mr Asim said: “To tackle the alarming rise in anti-Muslim sentiment, it is imperative that Islamophobia is defined.
“I am deeply committed to working across Muslim communities and with relevant stakeholders to formulate a legally robust, comprehensive and workable definition of Islamophobia.
“I am honoured to be entrusted with this role, which will have a far-reaching impact in protecting British Muslims and tackling anti-Muslim hatred.”
