مانچسٹر میں میوزیکل کنسرٹ حادثے کے علاوہ کئی ایک جعلی حادثوں کو بنیاد بنا کر مختلف انشورنس کمپنیوں سے لاکھوں پونڈز کلیم کرنے والی چوالیس سالہ رخسانہ اشرف کو جیل بھیج دیا گیا۔ پچھلے پانچ سالوں کے دوران رخسانہ نے کئی ایک بڑی انشورنس کمپنیوں کو مختلف موبائل سمیں اور مختلف ایڈریس استعمال کر کے فراڈ کے ذریعے کلیم داخل کیے اور ایک لاکھ اسی ہزار پونڈز کمائے۔
عدالت میں بتایا گیا کہ ایڈنبرا کی رخسانہ نے کس طرح مختلف موبائل کمپنیوں کے نمبرز اور جعلی ناموں کے ذریعے انشورنس پالیسیاں لیں۔ اور بعد میں بوگس کلیم داخل کر کے رقمیں بٹوریں۔ اس نے اسی پر بس نہیں کیا بلکہ مانچسٹر میں ہونے والے کنسرٹ کے حادثے میں موجودگی کا ڈرامہ رچا کر انشورنس کی رقم بھی حاصل کی۔
رخسانہ کے کچھ کلیم تکمیل تک پہنچے مگر کچھ ابھی آدھے راستے میں ہی تھے کہ اتھارٹیز کو خبر ہو گئی عدالت میں یہ بھی بتایا گیا کہ رخسانہ نے گرین فیل ٹاور کے متاثرین کی حیثیت سے بھی کلیم داخل کر رکھا تھا اس کے علاوہ اس نے دو مشہور دہشت گردی کے واقعات میں زخمی ہونے کا بھی کلیم داخل کیا تھا جو تا حال مکمل نہیں ہو سکا۔
Manchester; A woman who pretended to be a victim of the Manchester bombing and other tragedies to con £180,000 has been jailed for three years.
Ruksana Ashraf admitted three counts of fraud relating to false insurance claims made to RSA, Aviva, and Legal and General between 2012 and 2017.
A court heard the 44-year-old from Edinburgh had used multiple mobile phone SIM cards and fake names and addresses to take out dozens of insurance policies.
She went on to make a series of bogus claims – including one relating to the tragedy which claimed 22 lives at a Manchester Arena Ariana Grande concert last year.
Ashraf also admitted one count of possessing – criminal property in relation to receiving vouchers from insurers instead of compensation.
Ben Holt, prosecuting, said the successful claims totalled £50,116, but Ashraf had also tried to scam a further £129,030, claims which were not successful.
He told Inner London Crown Court yesterday that Ashraf made claims relating to Grenfell Tower and two major terrorist attacks.
