Hafsa Hussain, an 11-year-old British girl of Pakistani origin from Stoke-on-Trent, has won a silver medal at the British Junior Weightlifting Championship.

Hafsa, daughter of Advocate Umair Hussain of Pindora Hardo village on Kallar Dhuangali Road and granddaughter of Chaudhry Karamat Hussain and Chaudhry Hassan Akhtar, participated in the prestigious British Age Group Weightlifting Championship held in Birmingham. She competed in the under-12, 40kg weight category and secured the silver medal.

The British Age Group Championship 2025 provides a platform for young weightlifters in the UK across different age brackets, ranging from U10 to U23. Classified as a Tier 1 event, it also serves as a qualifier for future national competitions and potential international selections.
