London: Pothwar.com Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Former MPA Col. M. Shabbir as Guest of Honour

London (Pothwar.com, Mohammad Naseer Raja, October 16, 2024) – Pothwar.com, a leading news portal serving the Pothwar region and beyond, celebrated its 25th anniversary with a grand event. The ceremony, held to mark this milestone, brought together journalists, community leaders, and supporters of the platform in Slough. The guest of honour for the evening was former Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA), Col. (R) Muhammad Shabbir Awan, who praised Pothwar.com for its dedicated service to the region over the past two and a half decades.

During the event, Col. M. The ceremony started with Qura’an recitation by Pir Syed Sajid Shah Hamdani of Bhangali Shareef, Naat was presented by Malik Naseer, And  Raja Ehsan, Habib Rashid, Hafiz Saeed Hashmi, Zareen Bhatti, Shakil Kiyani and various dignitaries who shared their experiences and reflected on the platform’s journey. They addressed the public and  discussed the challenges and successes of establishing a local news website that has now grown into a trusted source of information for both local and international audiences, particularly the Pothwari-speaking community living abroad.

During the 25th anniversary celebrations of Pothwar.com, three distinguished individuals were awarded shields for their exemplary contributions to the community. Asif Rabbani Qureshi of Rabbani Kidney Centre, journalist Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi, and Hafiz Saeed Hashmi, the Imam of Woking Shah Jahan Masjid, were recognized for their dedication and service.

As the ceremony concluded, the audience was treated to a special segment showcasing memorable news coverage from Pothwar.com’s 25-year history. Col. M. Shabbir, along with the platform’s team, cut a commemorative cake to mark the occasion, symbolizing the unity and dedication that has brought Pothwar.com to this significant milestone.
