London: The Pakistan High Commission in Knightsbridge, London celebrated the 78th Independence Day

لندن (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام، محمد نصیر راجہ، 16 اگست، 2024) – نائٹس برج، لندن میں پاکستان ہائی کمیشن نے بدھ کو 78 واں یوم آزادی روایتی جوش و جذبے کے ساتھ منایا۔ہائی کمشنر ڈاکٹر محمد فیصل نے عہدیداروں اور عوام کے ساتھ مل کر قومی ترانے کی دھن پر پاکستانی پرچم لہرا کر تقریب کی قیادت کی۔تقریب کا آغاز تلاوت کلام پاک سے ہوا اور صدر مملکت، وزیراعظم اور وزیر خارجہ کے پیغامات پڑھے گئے۔

ہائی کمشنر ڈاکٹر فیصل نے اپنے خطاب میں بانیوں کو خراج تحسین پیش کیا جنہوں نے ایک ایسے وطن کے لیے جدوجہد کی جہاں برصغیر کے مسلمان عزت اور فخر کے ساتھ رہ سکیں۔ انہوں نے قائد اعظم محمد علی جناح کو ان کی بے لوث جدوجہد پر خراج تحسین پیش کیا اور مضبوط اور خوشحال پاکستان کے لیے علامہ اقبال کے وژن کو عملی جامہ پہنانے کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔

ہائی کمشنر نے پاکستان اور برطانیہ کے درمیان تعلقات کو مضبوط بنانے میں برٹش پاکستانیوں کے اہم کردار کو بھی تسلیم کیا۔ انہوں نے ان کی محنت، لگن اور جذبے کی تعریف کی۔

ایبٹ آباد سے تعلق رکھنے والے پاکستانی نوجوان عبداللہ کو خصوصی خراج تحسین پیش کیا گیا جس نے لیسٹر اسکوائر میں چاقو کے حملے کو روکنے کے لیے بہادری سے مداخلت کی، جس سے ماں اور بچے کی جانیں بچیں۔مزید برآں، پاکستان کے پہلے اولمپک جیولن گولڈ میڈلسٹ ارشد ندیم کے لیے تعریفی اسناد پیش کی گئیں۔

جشن کا اختتام کیک کاٹنے کی تقریب اور گیت دل دل پاکستان کے ساتھ ہوا جس میں برطانیہ کے اراکین پارلیمنٹ، سفارت کاروں، پاکستانی کمیونٹی کے ارکان، میڈیا کے عملے اور ہائی کمیشن کے اہلکاروں نے اپنے اہل خانہ کے ساتھ شرکت کی۔

London (Pothwar.com, Mohammad Naseer Raja, August 16, 2024) –The Pakistan High Commission in Knightsbridge, London celebrated the 78th Independence Day with traditional fervor and enthusiasm on Wednesday.

High Commissioner Dr Mohammad Faisal led the ceremony by hoisting the Pakistani flag to the tune of the National Anthem along with officials and members of the public.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and the reading of messages from the President, the Prime Minister, and the Foreign Minister.

In his address, High Commissioner Dr Faisal honored the founding fathers who fought for a homeland where Muslims of the Subcontinent could live with dignity and pride. He paid tribute to Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for his selfless struggle and reaffirmed his commitment to realizing Allama Iqbal’s vision for a strong and prosperous Pakistan.

The High Commissioner also recognized the significant contributions of British Pakistanis in strengthening ties between Pakistan and the UK. He praised their hard work, dedication, and passion.

A special tribute was paid to Abdullah, a young Pakistani from Abbottabad who heroically intervened to prevent a stabbing attack in Leicester Square, saving the lives of a mother and child.

Furthermore, accolades were cited for Arshad Nadeem, Pakistan’s first Olympic Javelin Gold medallist.

The celebration concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, and song Dil Dil Pakistan attended by UK parliamentarians, diplomats, members of the Pakistani community, media personnel, and High Commission officials with their families.
