London: Mohammad Saleem Founder of Birmingham Mela Passed Away

Mohammed Saleem, from Alum Rock, helped to establish the festival attended by tens of thousands in Ward End Park and was described as a ‘pillar of the community’.

Mr Saleem, 53, died at the weekend of a heart attack, leaving five children, a one-year-old granddaughter, and many family and friends. His son Khayaam Saleem, said: “Thank you to everyone who shared a beloved memory or photo of my father.
