London: Bedbugs hit Luton, council receives calls

لندن: (پوٹھوار ڈاٹ کام، محمد نصیر راجہ، 13 اکتوبر 2023) – لوٹن میں کھٹملوں نے ہاہاکار مچا دی، کونسل کو کھٹملوں پر کنٹرول کرنے کیلئے بڑی تعداد میں کالز موصول۔ پیرس میں کھٹملوں کی بہتات کے بعد پورے برطانیہ میں ان کے پھیل جانے کا خطرہ پیدا ہو گیا ہے۔ لوٹن بارو کونسل نے گھروں کوٹریٹمنٹ کیلئے تیار کرنے کیلئے گائیڈنس جاری کر دی ہیں جن میں کہا گیا ہے کہ اس مسئلے پر قابو پانے کیلئے لامحدود وسائل کی ضرورت نہیں ہے۔ کونسل نے اپنی ویب سائٹ پرلکھا ہے کہ فی الوقت پیٹ کنٹرول سروس کو کھٹملوں کے حوالے سے بڑی تعداد میں شکایات موصول ہو رہی ہیں، سینما، ٹرینوں، ہسپتالوں اور اسکولوں ہر جگہ کھٹملوں کی شکایت ہے۔ لوٹن کونسل نیکھٹملوں پر قابو پانے کیلئے ایڈوائس جاری کی ہے، اس میں کہا گیا ہے کہ بستروں سے چادریں اتار دیں اور ان کوبند کچر ے دان میں بند کردیں اور انہیں باتھ روم میں رکھ دیں، الماریاں، ڈرائرز اور بک کیسز خالی کردیں اور ان کی چیزیں بھی کسی بند جگہ پر رکھ دیں تمام فرنیچرز دیوار سے ہٹا دیں اور دیوار پر لگے پوسٹر اور تصاویر اتار کر ان کا معائنہ کریں۔ کونسل کا کہنا ہیکہ اس کا کامیاب ٹریٹمنٹ وقت طلب ہے اور کونسل کے پاس لامحدود وسائل نہیں ہیں۔ اینٹمولوجسٹ ڈی پٹیل کا کہنا ہے کہ لیونڈر کھٹملوں کا دشمن ہے اور کھٹمل اس کی خوشبو برداشت نہیں کر پاتے،انہوں نیکپڑے بہت زیادہ گرم پانی میں دھوئے، گھروں میں جلد جلد صفائی کرنے اورچادروں کو فریز کرنے کا مشورہ دیا، اس سے کھٹمل اپنی نسل نہیں بڑھا پاتے۔

Luton Borough Council has issued guidance on preparing homes for co-treatment which says unlimited resources are not needed to tackle the problem. The council wrote on its website that currently the Pet Control Service is receiving a large number of bedbug complaints, with complaints of bedbugs everywhere in cinemas, trains, hospitals, and schools.

Luton Council has issued bed bug control advice, it says to remove sheets from beds and put them in closed bins and put them in the bathroom, empty cupboards, dryers, and bookcases and Also put the things in a closed place, remove all the furniture from the wall and take down the posters and pictures on the wall and inspect them.

The council says its successful treatment is time-consuming and the council does not have unlimited resources. Entomologist says that lavender is an enemy of bedbugs and bedbugs can’t stand its smell, wash them in very hot water, clean the house quickly, and freeze the bed sheets, this will help the bedbugs to breed.
